[AP] Not saving custom curves (ramp) for SIZE JITTER

Recommended Posts

I trying to create my set of brushes. It creates but i found really buggy this point - custom curves for controllers. It not hold/save it. When i reopen Affinity Photo - the brushes preview is looks weird (until i adjust it again) and my custom adjusted curve for controller is resets to defaults. How i can keep it saved? After custom curve created i want to use it in other controllers too. Is this bug or feature?

Hi,

It's not possible to save the profile, you would have to duplicate a brush that already has the profile.

I've been trying to recreate the visual effects you are seeing but have been currently unable. To you have a custom scaling set for your screen e.g. 130%

I experience the same issue.  It occurs with preset ramps too (not just custom ramps), but only seems to occur with the 'Size Jitter' ramp.

The 'Size Jitter' ramp gets reset back to the default ramp when restarting Affinity Photo, even though the other ramp settings are remembered.

Pauls, look to my screenshot - i did as you describe, i already create custom set of brushes with my duplicates. Even when i am creating new brush settings and then press DUPLICATE - custom curve still not saved. Other numerical values stay as i enter or adjust them. Affinity Photo - it is one and only software on the PC for current moment, that allow easy and predictable result for lettering brush adjustments - i so love it. But this little bug take too much time to restore settings each time for each brush.

Exactly, thanks for confirmation. Even when i am exporting just adjusted brushes set to external file - and then importing back - after restarting there is no such curve setting stored. It is look like they saved just in RAM. Or maybe it have to be solved in another way - to add any kind of ramp to the ramp library - and then just select one from array of ramps.

Hi,

I've still not been able to exactly replicate what you are seeing. I've had something similar once or twice but for me It's not as replicable as what you are seeing. I'll keep trying.

Is there anything non-standard about where you installed the app to?

Could you also confirm the user name you use?

Regards

Paul

Look, what i found just now. When i use "create new brush" - it is look like not more occuring. But when i using duplicated from basic (stock) brushes - this bug occurs. Try to check my set of brushes, it can be tested exaactly on them.
