When I select jpg in Export command the 'Save As' dialogue default file name is missing.

Edit: Oh and thanks for the DPI issue fix on the Export command and Export persona, didn't realise that had been fixed until just now!

As if we didn't have enough good stuff to tell you today with our amazing pair of app updates, we learned this afternoon that Affinity Photo is the Best Mac App of 2015!
 
We can't quite believe it, but it's true! That makes it best photo app too, but it’s also BEST ANY KIND OF MAC APP OF THE YEAR! Best App! :) Amazing, thank you Apple! This is what developers dream of!
 
There's not too much more to say except thank you, to Apple of course but also to everyone that has helped us shape the app into what it is. Pop over to our blog to read and see a little more.

My name is Tatiana I am from Russian city of St. Petersburg. Please tell me where I can write about the problem with the export of Affinity designer to EPS? Thanks!

The SVG export in AD of a text term (both frame and artistic) does not appear to recognize AD tracking correctly.The SVG made from AD puts the proper tracking between the first and second character of a single word, but then bunches all of the next letters together as if they had no tracking, but the last letter appears in its proper place at the very end with a large space before it, i.e., as if all of the other letters had been properly tracked.
 
I have tried using kerning rather than tracking in creating the same single term (again in both frame and artistic text), but all metric options are greyed (not available). In this respect, I have to return to Illustrator which works better, although the tracking/kerning in the SVG is slightly less than in the original.
 
BTW, I'm still trying to figure out how kerning vs tracking works in AD since it appears to be different than I understand from my publishing experience. Are there any posts or help articles that could illuminate my ignorance?

You put together a stellar app

Hello everyone.
My name is Rui Batista and I'm a graphic designer from Portugal.
I started out a LONG time ago, using Illustrator 1.0 and, after that, FreeHand 1.0
Ever since Adobe "killed" FreeHand, I have been forced to use Illustrator and I hate every second I use it.
I have been searching for viable alternatives and, finally, it seems that I found one. Affinity looks amazing. And at a reasonable price. I can't wait for its official realease.
