  1. When creating a new document, in the Layout section, set the Image Placement set to Prefer Embedded. You can also change specific cases using the Window > Resource Manager (Embed button on the bottom).
  2. Hi @denmow, Welcome to Affinity Forums I believe we already have this issue logged. I will check and fill bug report in case it's not. As Old Bruce suggested docking the panels should sort this out although I believe you want to use them detached? Thanks for your feedback.
  3. Set the Colour Format (File > Document Setup, Color tab) to RGB/8 (or 16) and it should export correctly. Currently is set to RGB/32 (HDR).
  4. The message says Affinity Photo 2 - v2.4.0. The first "2" belongs to Affinity Photo's 2 name.
  5. Hi @aldan, Welcome to Affinity Forums You can either accept to update clicking the "Install Update" button, or leave it for later clicking the "Remind Me Later" button. The "Skip This Version" button just skips the update to v2.4 and stops displaying this message until a new version becomes available (ex 2.5).
  6. That's probably coming from the Designer's Help page. Will check this out with the doc team. Thanks Alfred.
  7. Hi @JackieDe, Welcome to Affinity Forums Go to menu Window > Text > Text Frame to display this panel if not visible already then set the Stroke width in the General section on top to None.
  8. Hi @Mika Ritola, Welcome to Affinity Forums I've updated/bumped the existing bug report to bring this up to devs attention again. Thank you for your feedback.
  9. Hi cmyoung, Welcome to Affinity Forums I advise you to change your username to prevent spammers from collect your e-mail. You can do so here. Regarding the White Balance, there's a few issues here I need to log/update. Besides the picker button, it doesn't seem to be working correctly with processed files (JPG's, TIFF etc). The tint slider is fixed/ignored. Curves has the same issue with the button (and mouse cursor) but is working for me. Make sure you click and drag (just a bit) for the point to appear in the curves graph. I will take this to the dev team as well - a click should be enough. If you have the image above as a RAW, try the White Balance Tool in Develop Persona which does work correctly. Sorry for the trouble this is causing you.
  10. Hi @KKalma, Welcome to Affinity Forums Thanks for your feedback. The only workaround I know when several letters are affected is to enlarge (scale up) the text (or document depending on the case/convenience) x times, expand the strokes while the text is big, then scale down again the same factor. Any chance you can provide one of your fonts (the one shown on your screenshot above) to add to out report/logs to be checked/tested against new code? Thanks.
  11. Hi @Kdyne, Welcome to Affinity Forums Affinity Photo doesn't support Fuji’s Film simulations nor any vendor specific camera features, sorry. As David mentioned already Capture One does support them as does Lightroom and Fuji's proprietary software.
  12. Hi @nemoDreamer, Welcome to Affinity Forums Thanks for your feedback. This is a known issue that's already logged with dev. I've updated/bumped the report to bring it up to devs attention again.
  13. Hi @kiararey, Welcome to Affinity Forums If you use the rounded cap it should align the lines perfectly. Here's some tips that may help you (no sound). Note that before I start a new line in the three with the Pen Tool I press ESC to deselect the last node/line I've drawn otherwise it connects everything. The tree on the left is just a bunch of separate lines that I've grouped in the end. The tree I've drawn on the right is still a bunch of separated lines but all placed in the same object layer thus they behave like a single object when selected - if you later select that tree then go to menu Layer > Geometry > Divide, it's then separated in all individual lines each one with its own layer. tree.mp4
  14. Hi @Rudolphus, Thanks for reporting this. I confirm it's indeed failing to work on Windows. I'm logging the issue to be looked at. @tzvi20 The issue reported in that thread is a bit different and was already fixed for Beta 2.5.0.x
  15. Hi @Iztok, There's already an internal improvement request to add a Feather FX to Designer/Publisher. This however must be approved first by dev team/management to be implemented and as such there's still no guarantee it will be addd at the moment. You're not the first user requesting it.
  16. @Hangman Thanks for reporting the issue. I confirm the states are not working on macOS but the button is still functional (all is fine on Windows). There's also issues/inconsistencies with the way it works with the command "Select All" between Personas. I'm logging these to be looked at.
  17. Hi @Jason Oates, Welcome to Affinity Forums Adding to what Hangman said above you can alternatively enable "Add New Curve To selected Curves Object" (6th icon in the Mode section on the context toolbar) to keep adding paths to the same object layer instead of creating a new one for each path (assuming that's what you want).
  18. Hi @Josh H, Welcome to Affinity Forums Here's a small video showing how to do it (no sound). I've used a gray gradient (rather than white) just to increase the contrast with the transparent (subtracted) rounded rectangles in the clip below. mask_movie_small.mp4
  19. Hi bbrother, Yes, the whole suite is affected since the feature is common to all apps. It's actually is a bit more complex than just the grids (there's more side effects). For v2.5 the changes made will be reversed until the whole issue is reviewed.
  20. That's is correct but does not answer the question, it just describes the use of the function.I meant generally speaking In which context/project types you need to move and keep a line mis-aligned on purpose with the pixel grid? It certainly is irrelevant if you are painting/drawing an illustration for example (unless it's a small pixel based illustration - a small icon or bitmap character for a game etc).
  21. Move By Whole pixels and why it's used in a context of a pixel perfect context/project was discussed various times before (1 , 2). As other subjects It easy to understand when you have to deal with the problem in practise but it may sound vague in theory. Can you point out a specific use case where you want Move By Whole Pixels turned on and Force Pixel Alignment turned off? Move By Whole Pixels is intended to be used when you explicit need to place certain pixels off the pixel grid in a pixel perfect project.
