    Hi Calllum,... And thank you. While attempting to make a recording I noticed something strange. Every time I clicked, the word "paste” would show up near the cursor. It turns out, that I forgot I had installed a small utility called PopClip to test out, and it was interfering. After removing it, everything works as it should. Thanks again.

    I recently upgraded to MacOS Catalina. My refine edges seemed to start actingwonky after that. When I choose to refine, the red mask shows up as expected. When I draw along the edges, all seems okay until the app finishes. At that point, the mask disappears and the marching and are completely gone. If I click Apply anyway (without seeing the results), the marching ants reappear and show where refinement took place, but I have to hit refine again, in order to do more work. Also, the previews only work while the mask is visible. Is anyone else experiencing this? I've been using AffinityPhotofor years and I can work around this glitch but it really slows me down. Any help would be much appreciated.

    Go to the Image menu and click on “Use RAW as original”. Toward the bottom of the list. Click the button with the ellipsis (…) and choose “Edit in Affinity Photo”. The instructions will tell you to open Affinity Photo. When you open Affinity, the image will be open in the Develop Persona

    hiya eddietheone, If you are just starting out playing with layers, instead of using a black or white brush, try using a gray one and see if that gives you any ideas.

    Hi Drw. If you use the export item under the file menu in the photo persona, your settings will stay. The export persona is generally used for blogging and internet transfer, slicing parts of an image and reduces the file size. Hope that's helpful.

    Hiya Lee D. Running Photo Beta 1.5 (RC 1) and the fix hasn't made it in yet. Any idea when it might get fixed. Not being pushy.... just anticipating. ;)

    Great work, folks. So much to play with and watch. I am still, however, experiencing the tools turning on and off when not docked (in Sierra). See this post: https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/27178-tools-turn-onoff-with-each-click/ Is that fix on schedule for another release? I hate docking my tools. I like to move them around.

    Okay, so I found a work around that I can work with. Apparently, this phenomenon only happens if I have the screen set to full screen. Turning off full screen removes the clicking turning the tools on and off. FYI, the same works for the beta 8. Still not sure why it happens on full screen though. :blink:

    i'm guessing it may have to do with a system file, LilleG, because it worked on beta 7 but now Beta 8 does the same thing as 1.4.3. :unsure:

    Weird. Weird. Weird. For some unknown reason, my tools (left of screen) started to appear and disappear with each click.This is with "dock tools" unchecked. If I dock the tools, it works fine, but I prefer using 2 columns and docking only allows me 1 column. I have tried: • Restarting while holding down control key. •Removing 'com.seriflabs.affinityphoto.plist' and restarting. •Deleting the app and re-downloading from Apple. No change. Any ideas or suggestions?

    I just updated from the MAS and now the beta 1.4.1 - beta 4 won't load... Saying that I need the purchased version. It was loading fine before the update (earlier in the day). One other note, I had also upgraded to OS X version 10.11.13. Any ideas on what's happening or if it can be fixed? Thanks.

    Would love to be able to adjust where to place the center of my vignette, using the Live Vignette filter. Often the area to emphasized is not in the center of the image.

    Glad you met your 'deadline' even though you had to use PS. Great looking portrait. Thanks for the hint about a possible elliptical mask route. I will have to play with that. Meanwhile, maybe we should add the vignette issue to the requested features area. All the best, MelG

    Hi MikekPhoto, The Vignette Filter center cannot, at this time, be moved (maybe a future version). I had the same question and A_B_C suggested trying the Live Lighting Filter. It worked great for me and I've experimented with it a few times (lots of variables to work with). I haven't worked with high key images, however. Hope that can help you.

    I just noticed that the .afphoto extension does not show up in the naming box when saving, nor is the "show extension" checkbox available. Is this something new, or has it always been this way? :huh:

    Congrats on App of the year. Been pushing AP on any of my photographer friends who will listen. Great app and great support.
