  1. Hi citroenDS, Tried this with AP 1.5.2.69 on win10 and following what your doing both files open as expected in the same instance of AP. Also tried opening the first in beta then right click 'open with' but selecting release version instead, second image opened in tab within active release AP, so two instances open. So something strange going on with your machine/install, hopefully someone can work out what! Regards
  2. :) :) :) Sorry, third time lucky! Like DxO Optics Pro has where you can copy settings made in one file and apply them to as many other RAWs as you want or create a pre-set. I use that all the time! Well I'm not sure that you can, one reason why AP is not my preferred RAW processor (yet) The nearest I'm aware of is actually my first reply, set up macros for the various settings you want to apply then use the batch process option on the RAWs applying the macros automatically. I don't think that's a good solution though, I'd never work that way myself. Perhaps others will wade in and correct me though. Regards
  3. Hi gcz, Sorry no idea, but that's a cool picture! where were you? The 5DS is supported so I'd wait for serif to reply. Regards
  4. Ah, sorry my misunderstanding I'm on win10, mac may be different In windows explorer select the files you want to edit, right click On the right click menu AP may be listed at the top if so select it. If not select Open then Select AP from list. You could also add AP to your 'Send To' options. https://www.groovypost.com/howto/customize-add-remove-items-sendto-menu-windows-10/ Hope that helps Regards
  5. Hi Vinther, in AP try File menu -> New Batch Job Your English is vastly better than my Danish! :) Regards
  6. Don't have AD but in AP would be good to be able to set guides at an angle. Can you do that in AD? As an aside when in the guide manager (and other dialogues that take numeric input) you can put in calculations. For example in inches on a 10" wide document typing 10-(3/8) to get a guide 3/8" from the right hand side. In pixels numeric fields you can type in -(400/3) etc. Regards
  7. Hi Matthias, I pretty much always process pano RAWs in DxO Optics Pro to 16bit tiffs and stitch those not sure why you are restricting yourself to 8bit jpgs. PTgui also has many additional features over AP when stitching what's surprised me is how little I seem to need them now, maybe I've just been lucky so far but as part of previous beta testing I re-created panos previously done with PTGui more easily and with less work I was genuinely surprised at that. Anyway a lot is also down to subject matter, lens position etc. so YMMV! Regards
  8. Hi Matthias, When I do panos I always pre-process the RAWs first (Inc. lens corrections), not sure I'd call it cumbersome given the exposure variances that can be required to be balanced from multiple shots. I do use a different RAW editor though which maybe makes the flow seem a bit more logical than coming in and out of the same program. With balanced exposures I've found stitching in AP to be very good to the point I haven't needed to use PTGui since getting AP Regards
  9. Hi RC-R, I hope it doesn't sound like I'm trying to make an issue out of something that's a non issue I think I'm just being a little clumsy in my language! When you say "You should always be able to open an Affinity file saved in an older format with an app version that supports a newer one" that's the nub of it and really what I was meaning (as a question). I had it in my head that maybe at some point a beta could have a format (like a code branch) that wouldn't be compatible with a future retail release. Anyway thanks for the reply to my ramblings, I'm sure there's nothing to worry about :) Regards
  10. and this work was pretty cool! https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/34014-oil-painting/ (about the 12th post down) Regards
  11. Thanks MEB, I wouldn't expect the current retail version to be forward compatible that would be a little unrealistic! :) so what you and RC-R say makes sense. I guess saving a file in current retail that was created in the current beta doesn't future proof it in any way. Thanks both for the replies Regards
  12. My understanding is that one of the ‘risks’ of using any beta version of AP is that the document format may change/ differ from a release version? I’m curious about what happens when you open a document created in beta in the release version and then do a ‘save as’. Does the saved file then conform to the officially supported format of the current release version? I noticed that when doing the above the new file’s icon is still associated to beta and not the icon of the application that just saved it and on double clicking it opens in beta. I know I can easily change file association, that’s not an issue I’m more interested in what if anything happens to the internal data structure of the document. Regards
  13. I'm heartened by MEB's comments. Reading between the lines I'd guess the devs are well aware of where the bottlenecks are but more importantly why. They have their priorities, stabilising/fixing bugs (the tablet issues are probably taking up much more time and resource than planned for) but performance would seem to be next. It's easy to forget this software is only six months old, I feel like I've been using it for years! good reminder MEB
  14. The second time it's 3 clicks as it remembers previous settings so I guess then the actual answer to your question irrespective of file size which I assumed was your major issue is No.
  15. You could try using Export the default in the Save As dialogue will be the original file name. Remember to untick the Embed metadata in More... options though. Regards
  16. I've had a word with the band and they are only going to release this one in vinyl :)
  17. hehe funny how the random image kind of fits Have to admit though on reflection I don't like the font
  18. Band name - Back Home Quote (album)- Always to be kept alive less is more!! :D
  19. Any issues about using stock for this? I had fun doing this but not sure if it's ok to put on the web?
