    Yeah, looks like the B&W conversion have pushed an 8bit jpg too far, you could try changing the original to 16bit (better to convert raw to 16bit though)

    Hi kirkmc, use the 'More reply options' and attach file from that. You'll get an option to 'Add to post' There is a limit to file size though, hopefully you don't hit that. Regards

    Your deleted area is transparent so create a new raster layer, put it below your background layer and paste new image or gradient/colour to the new layer but the trick is to make it look natural though and that might look a bit false so check out this video

    Actually I think the Export option should be removed altogether, that's what the Export Persona is for and it's well designed! 'Save As' is fine. I find the design of the Export dialogue a bit of a curiosity, doesn't really fit in with the rest of the UI to my eyes and does cause confusion with users going by previous posts. I also suspect that rationalising all Export options to the Export Persona would fit better with future DAM software. Regards

    Hi MIchael, I have W10 Home, up to date (Not much choice!) It's difficult to reproduce a hung process but my machine is a bit rubbish so it's easy for me to throw AP a task that gets the 'Affinity Photo (Not Responding)' message. Not sure if that's a valid comparison to your issue. Anyway when I Ctrl+Alt+Del while that 's going on Task Manager is slow to respond but it does respond. My understanding is that it's not APs responsibility to respond to a Ctrl+Alt+Del request it's the OS's. If your OS isn't responding then there is no resource left for it to work with. I have 16GB of cheap RAM and have set AP to only be allowed to use 13, always leaving 2 for the OS and anything else. (you never get to use the full amount. May be worth trying to tweak that preference? Regards

    Hi Chris, Untitled.jpg came through to the 'Save As' dialogue for a new file. I'm pretty sure I've worked out what's going on, it's a bit of an edge case to be filed under b****y users! :D Because there was a warning on the latest beta about file format compatibility I take a copy of any file I want to work on so I have the original I can open with the release version just in case. So I prefixed the copy with '.71_' yip the dots the issue. A dot anywhere in the file name truncates everything to the right of it. Interestingly as I had no idea off the top of my head how office deals with this I checked and it's ok with that char in the 'Save As' Regards

    Hi Chris, I can add a name in and all is ok. There is no issue with the Export command itself just the the default file name is missing in the Save As dialogue. I would expect the name to come through from the project file by default. Therefore not a big issue at all, just thought it worth logging. Happens with all existing docs, don't think I tried with a new one will do so when I get home. Also didn't try just saving without the file name as I would assume that not to work but I see why you would ask, some tester me eh :) Again I'll try when I get home. Thanks Regards

    Hi, When I select jpg in Export command the 'Save As' dialogue default file name is missing. Regards Edit: Oh and thanks for the DPI issue fix on the Export command and Export persona, didn't realise that had been fixed until just now!

    Can this be caused by the system date time being wrong?

    Happy to be crrected but I don't believe that functionality is in photo, although maybe someone coould do a really cool macro? Creating a contact sheet would be a cool feature to have without going third party. Sounds more like something the future DAM should be in though.

    Just noticed So did a reset and fixed that, no idea where the duplicate setting was.

    Well added Crtl+A to 'Select All' (which was blank) and it's working now! no idea if I've broken anything else in doing that but I'm sure I'll find out soon enough :) I also removed Crtl+A from 'Select All' and it stopped working so it would seem that is the fix although Mark's comment above may suggest something else is going on. @Chris Edition: Windows 10 Home Version: 1607 OS Build: 14393.1198 Regards

    Ah! that's a really good shout dominik I recently set up some ctrl+ zoom settings maybe I typo'd will check when I get home. (This would also explain how the release version does work for me) Regards

    Hi Dominik, tried your file, All clicking options to select text work but Ctrl+A doesn't work. Exactly the same as my file test. I think you are correct there must be something else involved, a system/AV setting or something maybe, going to do a bit of googling :) PS On screen keyboard doesn't work either so its not a keyboard fault.     Can confirm changing windows DPI scaling percentage causes this pixilation. On a large image it does actually render a portion but just seems to stop. You do get a warning - Some apps won't respond to scaling changes until you sign out. Doing so doesn't fix the issue, going back to 100% (my default) does. Regards

    Interesting, on AP beta .71 All clicking options to select text work for me but Ctrl+A doesn't work. Edit: Ctrl+A does work in release AP 1.5.2.69 so for me this is a bug in beta .71

    Just installed AP .71 No issues with install Large (2.7+ Gb).afphoto documents load MUCH faster, really fast actually! zooming and panning on same files again much faster. Not getting the issue with pixelated displays at 100% + zooms as has been reported by others. As others have reported "Apply" and "Cancel" text is missing in the buttons but the commands still work, just text missing. Not fussed with the light UI, don't like it TBH, switched back :) options are always good though so happy for those that requested it. Looking forward to doing my usual WF tests this week. Feels like real progress, thanks AP guys! Regards
