Hi, Is Studio Link coming to the other apps soon (e.g. designer to photo or publisher) ? I know you can switch within the menu but that feature in publisher looks and works too well to not be in the other apps. Ryan.

Hi, I've been working with a series of files for a month or so now and suddenly today when I tried to open the file i get the "The file appears to be corrupted" error message. This can't happen. Is there anyway to restore this file to get it to work? I did do the upgrade last week I believe but it didn't affect any other files that I can tell. Thanks, Ryan.

I was able to find a codec add-in that so far seems to work perfectly for displaying a lot of thumbnail types in a windows machine and affinity designer and affinity photo files are both working. I'm in the trial mode and so far so good. https://www.fastpictureviewer.com/codecs/ Thanks, Ryan.

Hi, Struggling with adding text to a custom shape drawn by the pen tool. I've tried a few methods but every time i convert to a text shape, it just pastes in normally and doesn't stay confined inside the shape. I must be missing a step or just plain doing it wrong. I'm simply trying to wrap text around an image and though the best way would be create a vector shape. Can someone assist? Thanks, Ryan.

Hello, I've noticed an issue with font size (measurement units) not saving when the program is closed. Every time I open the program back up then the unit size has returned to inches and I have to re-select "text as points". Please advise. Ryan.

You flipped your wording on that last sentence. I think you mean to say "only AD crashes when pasting from Xara" at the very end. Could be confusing as to which you mean. Ryan.

Hi, It's in the "effects" tab next to layers and the option is called 'outer shadow'. Make sure you have your object selected and then just adjust the radius and offset to display the shadow. If you don't have this option, then its not enabled under view->studio->effects in the top navigation bar. Ryan.

Hi, Is power duplicate NOT supposed to work with the arrow keys? It works great when you drag an item using the mouse but as soon as you try to position the duplicate with arrow keys it stops working in power duplicate mode and just reverts to standard duplicate. Ryan.

I had a similar problem and found the "show as list" option works best for me. You still get a thumbnail and as long as you name accordingly then it clears up most issues. Example of how i'm structuring the assets: Guides - Web - - 1170 | 1140 (* 1170px width with an 1140px container) - - 980 | 950 (...) Ryan.

Hi, I'm converting over from Fireworks and the one semi-important thing that I'm not finding is the ability to create a template/master page to lock elements into a fixed position for every page or artboard. Hi, Double-clicking the text does not work every time. Sometimes you have to use the "T" key to get inside a text layer. Not sure why but it does seem to happen more frequently now. You can split this into another post - i just hate to crowd the board with duplicate issues If i can avoid it. Ryan.

I tested this and see... Preview works - Extra large icon, large icons, medium icons, tiles & content Preview is not working - List, small icons Ryan.

This approach does a good job on keeping design elements in place. However, it stacks up all the text on top of each other in the upper corner. I would love to convert all my .fw files over to AD but this font issue makes it a painful process. Ryan.

What about custom installed fonts? Adobe always crashes or hangs indefinitely if a font is corrupt - maybe something similar.

Hi, Very similar specs but my version (RC10) loads in about 8-10 secs and I have a lot of programs running. I think something in graphicuser's settings are causing that delay. Ryan.

Hi, When dragging images into AD the layers panel shows focus on the image just for a few seconds then defaults back to layer below. It should keep imported image as selected I would think. A bit of a pain to keep having to re-choose the imported image layer. Thanks, Ryan.

Another member pointed this out and I tried it and the software instantly crashed. Selecting the freehand selection tool in pixel persona mode crashes the software. Save your work before trying it! Ryan.
