There are endless of tutorials for the desktop. I need all these for the iPad. It’s impossible to follow along with these videos on an iPad.

    Hi @GabrielM,
Thank you for your return, but I would recommend you to take a look at the other topics that many people are mad about this issue. It's not about a file, but with any file. so it's an app's bug.
And we still do not have any official answer from Affinity about that. It's sad!

Has there been any discussion of an update for Designer for iPad? The move/node tool issues are significant, and it’s getting worse, not better. Tonight, I had to quit and restart the app several times, as the snapping stopped working, then the move and node editing tools stopped functioning. And it’s still attempting to render a close up visual when I use a second finger on the screen, which doesn’t work with the Apple Pencil. I love these apps, but they’ve become almost unusable, and there’s been no updates for some time.

I have designer for the iPad. When I use my Apple pencil and try to select/tap objects neither tool works correctly I think. I have to "drag" with my move tool to select object and then select the node tool in order to select nodes. Neither of them work by tapping the object. Is this how it works or am I doing something wrong.

That’s pretty similar to what I did but without the line. It should have occurred to me that you only need to move the centre of rotation along a straight vertical line, not actually draw the line, but it was one o’clock in the morning. (That’s my excuse and I’m sticking to it!)
When performing a manual rotation, you can constrain the angle to a multiple of 15° by holding down a finger elsewhere on the screen.

Here’s anther way of doing it. Probably the best way, but a bit more complicated to understand at first. There also seem to be some issue with the automatic rotation not liked to the possition. That’s why you see me doing the 360/12 and getting 30 degrees but it’s rotated wrong and I have to manually move it.

@DesignMeister Why not just use the Elipse tool with a dash line? You can adjust dot size and phase.

I'll raise my hand in support of this statement. Having a non-destructive and quick way to slant, arch, etc a text element is important to many designers. Logos, flyers, ads. I recently bought an online graphic editor for quickie designs, on a chromebook, and that editor has this text ability. I'm still such a huge fan of Affinity but the inability to fully commit stops me from learning all the ins and outs of this program.

What farukkk said. I'm in the middle of something now, vectorising an image. All I need to do is slightly warp some text. Now I have to try and find my old Adobe Illustrator log in details and install the dreaded Adobe software.
Hate the Adobe Suite, and I still cannot get my head around Affinity not releasing a basic text warp tool for Designer. I've been reading the original post, and it goes back to 2015.
This isn't any hate on Affinity, love the software, but I cannot see how anyone doing any graphic design can not go back to Illustrator for this one tool. It's such a staple tool for any sort of logo design. Boggles the mind why it isn't a priority!?

Exactly. Corel Draw was able to warp text from the start MANY, MANY years ago. Basically Affinity is a good program but it's disappointing that any vector program in 2018 is incapable of warping text since it's such an important tool for any designer.

I was wondering if it was possible to warp text in Designer.  I attached an image with what I am trying to accomplish.

You can also try the cog tool. Select the cog tool from the shape tools, it’s probably a square now. Pick how many repeating cogs you want and move the inner circle so it covers the outer one leaving only the cogs of the circle. Now adjust the shape and make them small squares. Convert to lines and select the corner tool and round all corners leaving dots or circles.

    Hey!
Just got Affinity Photo. It looks promising, but it's very different from the Camera Raw to Photoshop workflow I'm use to. I process, or develop to use your term, in Camera raw. The changes I do there are always "saved". Not sure how it works just that I can open the file again and the changes are there. I assume it's a profile that is applied and that camera raw links to that file. Is there any way to do that in Affinity? I get that I can save in the Affinity file format, but this creates a file 10 times bigger or more. I also get that I can save a profile in the develop persona, but it's not linked to any image. What am I missing here?

The other thing is lens correction. Is there a way to add corrections from Canon like in Camera raw?

Alos, it looks like Affinity is using a lot more CPU because the fan on my Macbook Pro is working hard after a few minutes of work with Raw files. With Camera Raw or Photoshop it never does that. Any reason for this?

Lastly, masking when applying sharpening to a raw file I could not see an option for. Is this available in the develop persona?

    Thanks,
    Stefan Johnsson
