  1. Mac user, and its working. too easy to just click to install and forgot to install the plugin in the right folder. actually did upload 2 images taken with AP running latest Nik in another thread.
  2. why is it working fine now then? all I did is during the installation making sure I install the plugin the the same folder that AP was already linked to. see both image I just uploaded, no more uploading fonts screen.
  3. it work for me, fault was pointing the installation of plugin in the right folder, installing the new Nik update overwrite the old version, installing the "plugins" during the update in the same folder that AP was already linked fixed it. here's 2 attachment of one image in analog effect and the other in colour effect * I clicked the icon just to show the version of Nik, if you think the "updating fonts" is hiding behind I can upload another image without the Nik version stamp on it.
  4. I did had this issue and it got fixed by reinstalling the Nik by DxO but, in the installation process I had forgotten to install the plugin in the same folder that was linked with AP plugin. So make sure you install the plugin in the same folder, done, work like before.
  5. Plugin in AP setting are in my NikbyDxO folderin my application folder, I guess during installation first time I forgot to select install in that folder and ended up with that problem with the lupdating fonts”, I reinstall Nik by DxO but plugin folder with the right one and now it work. You’ll have to ask a programer for more details explanation. My guess is because installing the new version overwrite the old one, and the plugins were installed by default to another folder so it got AP bugged up trying to run the plugins from a wrong folder.
  6. Go in top left apple icon, app store, updates, you’ll see you have an update for AP.
  7. problem solve, kind of stupid but.... when you install the Nik collection, in the install process make sure you set where the plugins are going. duh! work like a charm. sorry that human mistake.
  8. reset Fonts in the Preferences menu doesn't change anything, i even reset AP and reinstalled all brushes and palettes and macros, took a while and still have that updating Fonts problem. Mac user here.
  9. did the new update for AP and it is stuck to this, even going in the setting trying to result the Fonts won't work and I need to force quit. anyone else having this issue or is it just me and I'll have to reset everything? thanks
  10. Little detail here =) Look at the photo persona symbol, 1.6 is triangle and 1.7 is square, that’s a quick way to difference them.
  11. Luminar run as plugin for Lr, Ps and iPhoto, not AP. So you can use Luminar then save as .tiff to be open in AP. Flex is just Luminar 3 without catalog and haven’t got the latest AI luminar 3 update, why can’t they just add a check box so users can choose having catalog or not... too complicated maybe. you guys read that “iPhoto” =)
  12. They’re on version 6 now, not sure if they would release another update for 5 just to add file support.
  13. Correct, you can use 3DL and Cube with Affinity Photo, on the main page of his website there’s some explanation of what type suffix are for so you may not need most of them. Once you import LUTs in Affinity they stay there if you “save” them as preset. you can find many free online as well as paid and even specific camera look, like Fuji film emulation.
  14. Here’s another one, there’s so many online anyway, plus you can make LUTs from Lr. https://luts.iwltbap.com/
  15. Pretty cool, I have to try that =)
  16. cmd Z will undo your last, or click on it to highlight than click delete on your keyboard.
  17. What icc profile are you using in AP? That make a difference within plugins, that’s something I’ve notice using AP
  18. I did went through that as files were in the 300-400 mb size. there’s some other thread about it and I ended up with this. copy/paste make it look like I’m screaming the words, sorry for that =) This is typically because developed raw images are processed to 16-bit - it offers more precision but increases file size exponentially. Before you save your .afphoto file, you might try the following: Go to Document > Colour Format > RGB (8 bit) to convert the image to 8-bit and save file space. Go to View > Studio > Snapshots to bring up the snapshots panel. You should see an initial "Background" snapshot. Delete this as it's essentially a backup copy of your image that takes up file size space.
  19. I decided to reset AP, good thing I did, problem solved. well.... now clicking "cmd S" shows bar export item, why? I'm not exporting, just saving progress.
  20. I have a folder named “to be process”, images goes in there before sent to my library. I just drag the image(s) down to AP app to be open. Never really had issues doing so, just happening more often now, but since there was no update to AP then its something coming from my computer, obviously I did something in setting somewhere.
  21. just doing cmd s haven't did the save as. I'm going through a bunch of images and just using the inpainting brush to remove dust spot. I'm not editing them yet. I don't know why, I haven't changed anything either AP or my computer. must be a bug I'm getting.
  22. Its not the first time but its happening quit often now, every time I edit an image and hit save (cmd s) it just freeze than need force quit, and reload the image to keep going. os sierra 10.12 (latest before high sierra)
  23. They both work, the plugin are not in the same folder for google and dxo, the last of dxo work, not the first release https://nikcollection.dxo.com/release-notes/
  24. system feature, got it. I just thought that would be nice to have the option to choose which one to choose.
