  1. In reading through AP Help, I found the references below to "Finder" and “Media Browser”. A friend searched and found that “Finder” was something on Macs. Re “Media Browser”, the statement below that it is in “View” is incorrect. It is not there. To open an image as a new document (via Finder): • Open Finder and drag the file to an off page area of your workspace. To open a raw image as a new document (via Finder): • Open Finder and drag the file to an off page area of your workspace. To add an image to a layer (via Finder): • Drag an image from Finder to your page. The image will be added to the project as a new layer. Media Browser The Media Browser is a storage area providing quick access to saved images. You can access the Media Browser from the View menu. Options available in the dialog via -click menus Show in Finder—opens the selected folder or file in Finder.
  2. As far as I know, there was nothing special going on. I was working on a drawing, sampling colors with the dropper by dragging the dropper with my mouse to the Firefox browser window where the image with the colors I was using was located. I was not using my Wacom pen for this; I only tried it when I could not shake the dropper loose from the mouse cursor. I realize it would probably be impossible for you to replicate this behavior just by sampling colors, but I thought you would want to be aware that it had happened.
  3. Twice now I have had the Dropper from the Color or Swatches Panel stick to the cursor when I was dragging it to sample a color. It stayed stuck if I switched from my mouse to my Wacom Pen. Obviously, I could not do any work in AD with the Dropper stuck to the cursor! The only way I could find to unstick it was to close the program by placing the Dropper over the "X" in the upper right corner and clicking. When I reopened the program, the sticking was gone.
  4. Thank you for fixing clicking on Reverse to reverse a gradient not working. Reverse is quite useful, so having it work right is great!
  5. What you have to do, instead of clicking on the same color twice, is to click on the desired color, then when you want to immediately use it again, click on another color first and use it, then click on the desired color to replace the second color. An awkward workaround, but this problem has been around for several Betas. Hope they get it fixed soon.
  6. That's true, and very annoying! Please make the guides visible off the drawing page as well as on it! I can find the ones that have been drawn out but are not over the drawing by moving my cursor horizontally across the scratchboard, but this is not the preferred behavior.
  7. I just tried to use the fx in Layers and nothing happened when I clicked on it. This is with today's new Beta installed.
  8. I definitely agree with ricardozea on this! It frequently happens that I will try to pull out a guide and nothing happens because I am using the Node Tool. Please give us more usability of the guides (that is, the ability to pull them out without having to switch to the Move Tool).
  9. Thank goodness, Callum! This has been a real nuisance.
  10. I'm not finding the recent colors used very helpful either, as it seems nothing ever happens when I click on a color there trying to use it.
  11. Sometimes when I draw either a line or a shape with the Pen Tool, click on the Move Tool, and then go to the Swatches Panel and click to fill the line or shape with a color, nothing happens. I can fill the line or color with the color in the Color Picker Color Box, so a workaround is to make sure I sample the fill or line color I want and have it showing in the Color Box before I draw the line or shape. If I forget to do that then selecting a shape or line with the desired color and using Edit Copy and then using Edit Paste Style on the blank line or shape also works. AD will usually return to normal filling of new lines or shapes after a varying number of failures. I’m sure there are other workarounds than the ones I am being forced to employ, but AD shouldn’t be doing this.
  12. I too would like to see a spiral tool similar to that in DrawPlus.
  13. I normally prefer work with a solid background and then export with a transparent background by choosing "Selection without background", but this Area option is broken. The .png or .jpg is saved with a white background. I had hoped it would be fixed in Beta 1.5.0.8, but it has not been. Please give this issue priority. Thank you.
  14. I am using the Beta along with a group of about 20 other people, and we all find the lack of contrast difficult. Please do tweak the contrast. Usability is more important than looks.
  15. Grethe, I am so glad that re-downloading and re-installing the latest Beta solved your problem.
