In the beta version it works only with certain tools. And yes, the menu should pop up before you remove your finger, the way it's working right now makes it weird.

Affinity Photo Customer Beta (1.9.0.195)
AlainP replied to Andy Somerfield's topic in [ARCHIVE] Photo beta on iPad threads
Why don't you use another app @Artsketch and go play somewhere else.... Guess who sounds incompetent (and a little more) here.... -
I still have the same problem when "Scribble" is enabled, the Apple pencil can't be used. This with ipad OS beta 14 v. 8

Apple pencil now completly broken ios 14

With latest iOS 14 beta 7 Apple pencil now works "almost" correctly in Photo... When in text mode the keyboard is unavailble when Scribble is enabled. -
Version 452.06 is the one I have and get the crash...

The number of copies is effectively retained, but only for the same session. If you close Photos et reopen it the number of copies is back to 1. I think most apps do the same.

I use these apps on a 6th gen model (2018) and never had a crash and it's quite responsive. Recently I made a panorama using 5 RAW files and it went as fast as my main computer. The Air 3 has better specs than mine so you should be OK. If only it crashed once in a while....that would give me a good reason to get the 2020 12,9 inch Pro....

Here it takes less than 3 seconds and I can start to work on those apps. You should enumerate your computer specs, that could help to find out what's going on...

When Renderer is set to WARP I don't get any crash, even if I tried very hard.... Back to nVidia drivers... it crashes again, but still no Crash report. nVidia drivers are the latest... not much I can do except WARP mode. But there must be something going on that shouldn't as it happens only if I worked on a RAW file first. But I know you will find out. UPDATE: I installed nVidia "Studio" drivers instead of the "Game Ready" ones I had. It take more time to Photo to crash but this time it just shut down itself instead of freezing. It now created a Crash Report that is attached. 1364a10a-a7c6-4357-9b68-c8ce97b4a296.dmp

I have the latest nVidia drives and I experiment a similar problem. Sometimes I have to play almost a minute with the nodes of the Mesh Tool. But it always finishes with a crash. The CPU goes to 99.9%, the fan runs accordingly, and I have to terminate Photo using Task Manager. No Crash Report is created. It only happens after I worked on a RAW file, used Develop and then use the Mesh Tool. It does the same with CR2 and RW2 files. If I open a JPG file and do the same with the Mesh Tool, Photo never crashes.

Having problems too with the Mesh Tool. It works fine most of the time, but once in a while the computer fan becomes loud and Photo goes to Nowhereland and I have to use Task Manager to stop it. It seems to happen more often right after I worked on a RAW file, CR2 or RW2, but not every time. There are no crash reports generated.

I don't have any problem working with this file, Dodge and Burn, or whatever I do it all works fine. This is on a 6th gen 9,7" iPad.

I just tried with your file and I did not have any problem. Probably something else than Designer. You should give details on your computer specs to make it easier to help you.

Welcome screen fail to show web content

This issue is in all three apps, beta and release versions. -
This is typical of people using apps like "Free you RAM", "Unclutter you disk", "Speed up your computer", "Manage you Memory". and all those "magic apps" that, in the end, make you have to do a fresh install of Windows. And Amdi.... this is your first post and I hope this is your last. Buona fortuna a te.

Let's wait for the pro to help you...

I tried to replicate what you get but it works flawlessly on my side. It looks like a rendering issue.
