  1. Thank you for the quick add in the latest beta. I'm looking forward to see the other options show up as well d.
  2. Never mind. I restarted Designer and the 'Edit in Photo...' is back. d.
  3. I realise that there are big differences between the 'Layers' menu in AD and AP. Of course this makes sense in regard to specific functions like 'Convert to curves' (in AD). But why, for example, are the entries 'Hide' and 'Show' missing in AP? These are functions common to both programs. d.
  4. Thanks for another Beta version. File > Edit in Photo... is greyed out. Even if a document is open. Worked in .86 In AP 'Edit in Designer...' is ok. d.
  5. Hi shojtsy, I followed your steps and even raised the Gaussian Blur radius to 1000px so that AP became very slow. But I could not reproduce those artefacts. Rendering in the 'Performance' Tab is set to 'default'. d.
  6. Hello Catrin, I just tried it with an image (JPG) that I opened in AP and applied a curves adjustment. Then I saved it as an .afphoto file. I then drag and dropped the file into a blank AD document with no problem. I also copied all layers in AP and pasted them into AD with no problem or crash. A while ago there was a problem with drag and drop of documents but as far as I know this has been fixed. Are you sure you are on the latest beta versions? They are at 1.6.0.86. Perhaps you can provide a step by step explanation of what you are doing until the crash occurs? Then we can try to reproduce this. Best regards, d.
  7. Thank you for this fix. As for the dragon. To me it looks like it's drooling to play with the new beta d.
  8. Sorry, I missed the 'Select' Yes, indeed, there are two not concentric circles. Strange. d.
  9. I believe this is a feature of AD The inner circle indicates the hardness of the brush. By moving the mouse up and down you can adust the amount of hardness of it. d.
  10. Thank you and good luck. I understand that software development is worse than a sack full fleas d.
  11. Patrick, I do not see this in the current Beta 1.6.0.85 (tried this with British and US English, as well as with German). But, thanks for coming back to this. d.
  12. I tried it and it is working as expected. Thanks. d.
  13. For me the message box 'Global colour' looks different and doesn't offer recent colors anymore (see attachment). Am I doing something wrong? d.
  14. Today I did the following: Open any AP file Add as a top layer an adjustment layer (e.g. black and white) > The adjustment layer's window shows up. CLOSE this window. Add on top of this another adjustment layer (e.g. curves) > The new curves layer opens. Now delete the most top adjustment layer (= curves) with the popup window open. > The popup window then switches to the adjustment of the layer below (in this case the black and white adjustment). Expected behaviour: Delete an adjustment layer with it's popup window open and everything gets cleared. No new popup windows. Perhaps this is a matter of 'taste' or concept. I find it 'confusing'. At this point many thanks for all your efforts and a great program that I very much enjoy and appreciate. d.
  15. Another observation: Highlight multiple slices. Click one checkbox to include it into the export process. > All highlighted slices on the canvas are surrounded with a blue square and four corner points. > But not all highlighted slices get ticked in the checkbox. Also the number of slices to export does not get updated (as JohaWeber has pointed out). Next click 'Export Slices'. > All highlighted (including those that are not ticked in the checkbox) are exported. Next switch to Draw Persona and then switch back to the Export Persona. > Now all displayed checkmarks and the number of slices to be exported are correct. Hope this helps. d.
  16. I have observed this, too. I think it worked some time before. d.
  17. Hello dvdende, I tried this and can confirm this behaviour. But it only occurs if the deleted adjustment window is opened. Maybe this was intended by the developers? d.
  18. Hi Ken, I followed your description and created a document on my own. I can confirm this. I get a 16.1px outer shadow instead of 15px. Interestingly I then removed both FX from the first object, copied the second one and pasted those onto the first object. The outer shadow then shows up as 15px again. Strange d.
  19. Hello michelle96, welcome to the forum. There are several threads mainly in the Questions forum that answer your question (The Questions forum would be the better place to ask a question not related to the beta version). Since you are new here it is OK to post your question here and I'm happily helping you Someone else asked if it is possible to use Affinity on multiple computers. The answer by Lee D (one of the forum moderators) was: 'Yes, you can have Affinity Designer installed on both your laptop and desktop' You can read all this explained in great detail in the so called EULA which is the License Agreement between you and Serif. See here: https://affinity.serif.com/en-us/license/ and look for 'The License granted to you is limited, non-transferable and non-exclusive. Except to the extent any rights cannot be excluded by law, you are permitted:' With your first purchase of Affinity you should have received an email that includes a product key. You can use that on both of your computers. I hope that helps. Cheers, d.
  20. Too bad. I have no idea how a file in a renamed directory could been deleted. Maybe AD my way of renaming the directory to 'autosave.bak' was not 'renaming enough'? I looked in the waste bin but the file is not there. Let's see if I come across the crash again and I come back. d.
  21. Hi Sean P, thanks for the hint where to find the autosaved files. When I first checked the autosave folder there was a file with a date from yesterday. Then I renamed the folder to 'autosave.bak' and AD started without a problem. So this did the trick. But when I afterwards again looked into the 'autosave.bak' folder the file with yesterday's date had vanished. Anyway, I append this folder and the CrashReports folder as well. Good luck. d. testing 14.afdesign autosave.bak.zip CrashReports.zip
  22. With the latest Beta I get a strange behaviour. When I double click the icon to start AD once the window is fully visible I see for a short moment a messagebox prompting me if it should restore a recovery file (I'm not sure about the wording because it is visible for only a very short moment). Then AD crashes and vanishes. If I CTRL+double click the icon to start AD I get the option to not 'Restore Window and Documents'. Once I tick only this option AD opens fine with a blank window. The funny thing is that when I close AD and start it again with double click the program again offers to restore a recovery file. How can we get around this? I assume there is some recovery file somewhere located that I could delete? Thanks! d.
  23. Wonderful. Works now 'as advertised'. Thank you! d.
  24. Great news. Thanks for fixing this and the personal notification d.
