  1. I was able to reproduce this behavior in all Affinity apps with different images at different resolutions and document dpi settings. Place an image - call Layer effects: Outline - adjust Radius and a weird dot pattern in the lower quarter of the image appears: Affinity Publisher/Photo/Designer 1.10.1 M1Mac/BigSur11.6
  2. @carl123 Mmmh - shouldn´t there any size/format boundary visible like here? Or is it such a massive crop that the format is outside the editor window?
  3. In this case a simple shearing will do; check the Transform tab for R: and S: or use the Move tool for shearing directly.
  4. Some Motion Blur: file is now 19MB - not sure I should upload.
  5. One can use the Point Transform tool to define anything for snapping regardless the shape.
  6. For instance: Make Selection - copy&paste - add Layer Effects->Outline adjust:
  7. Unless you want that kind of "boxy" spiral here´s a more circular one: earrings4U.afdesign
  8. Same anti aliasing issue - you´ll find tons of threads about it.
  9. Next hurdle: one will need the font "Oakle" to make it look correct. Better convert the font to shapes with "Convert to Curves" to make the look permanent for all applications.
  10. If you really want to get rid of the AntiAliasing gap "merge" the 2 rectangles with Geometry->Add or overlap them.
  11. You can rasterize per object in the Layers panel. So text stays as vector data.
  12. Strange and more ridiculous cure by adding layer effect "Outline" centered, white color and broad enough to cover the edge - In PDF it´s no longer visible. Here in grey: grayBordersProblem_F.pdf
  13. At the upper right corner of the app window you can go to your account and all downloadable content:
  14. Easy image search result: https://static01.nyt.com/images/2010/11/14/books/review/Meacham/Meacham-jumbo.jpg
  15. A simple example file would have been more helpful than saying "just do not work".
  16. Cool (pretty sure I tried that in the past and totally forget about it - no coffee can help here) - snapping to selected objects - so it´s working in the end with every tool currently selected but snapping works just with Node-tool inside compound paths from my experience.
  17. I didn´t say anything against it - what baffles me that the Node-tool don´t offer any ability to move a guide (like Inkscape eg.) unless I´m dragging a new one.
  18. A downside that still persists is that only the move-tool can move existent guides (towards snapping) while mainly all other tools can establish a guide from dragging off the ruler bar.
