  1. @Derek Alexander I think you need to ask B&H Photo about this. From what you write it appears you received a "voucher" from that supplier which is failing to allow you to download the product. That is something that only B&H can resolve, I think. As @wonderings says, purchase via the App Stores or direct from Affinity is, perhaps, a "better" route for you (in these circumstances). Jeff
  2. @Simon W I'm not a Mac user but I would strongly suspect that, when you clicked on No, the file was deleted. 😭 Jeff
  3. @ali abbas Welcome to the Affinity forums. Your question concerns one of the products in the Serif Legacy range and should be posted to the Legacy forum "Community Plus" here. (You will need to register there to be able to post.) HTH Jeff
  4. @GabrielFotoPoto The Affinity Store and the Microsoft Store have no connection with each other at all; no data is shared so it is not possible for your Affinity account to show any information about your purchase. No serial keys are involved for you because the Store version does not use one; the purchase is linked direct to your account at the Store. As to file sizes, I have no idea why the Store installer is apparently so small, but I have never seen any Affinity download to be anything like 950 MB. (I've just checked on my computer and the latest release version of APh, 1.8.3, is 503,855 KB, so less than 500 MB.) Jeff
  5. @Rubenunez Simple answer: Yes! One caveat: the "new laptop" must be using the same OS, either Windows or Mac as you were using for the original purchase. You cannot transfer a Windows licence to a Mac computer. HTH Jeff
  6. @Paul240z Welcome to the Affinity forums. Simple answer to your question: Yes, you can run the apps on "as many computers of the the same OS as you own or control". To download any purchased app to a second, or third etc., device simply log into your account on this "new" device at the store from where you originally purchased it, download (including the serial key if you purchased direct from Serif) and install. Purchases from the Windows Store do NOT use any serial key. HTH Jeff
  7. @Melinda Knoesen Welcome to the Affinity forum. From what you write it seems that all the tools etc. have disappeared from your screen. Is that correct? If so go to View>Studio>Reset Studio (it's the last entry on the list that opens). HTH Jeff
  8. @bobdolb Since the download from your Affinity account is the "full" version (I am NOT a Mac user so cannot advise on the specifics of how this works on Macs) perhaps you would be best advised to uninstall the app and then reinstall using the new version downloaded from your account. Hopefully another Mac user will see this thread and be able to offer more complete advice. 😔 Jeff
  9. @John Rostron I have no idea about the reason for this (!) but when I open your RAW in both the latest beta and release versions I see the same as what @anon2 shows. Screenshots, Beta first then release. Jeff
  10. @bobdolb There is the problem! Having originally purchased from Affinity you cannot update via MAS since MAS has NO RECORD of the fact that you own the app. You need to update via your Affinity account. HTH Jeff
  11. @JPNE Welcome to the Affinity forums. This is the latest list of supported cameras for APh on Mac. HTH Jeff
  12. @Mordechai Nir Since you purchased the app direct from Affinity have you tried going to your Affinity account, logging in and then going to the "Downloads and product keys" page. You should find the latest version available there to download. HTH Jeff
  13. @pablodgl Welcome to the Affinity forums. Which store did you originally purchase the app from (which app, by the way?) MAC App Store or Affinity Store? Which ever it is you will need to log into that same store, using the same email or ID and password as you used for the original purchase. You should then be able to download the software again. HTTH Jeff
  14. @BasS Welcome to the Affinity forums. I think this thread might be a good place to start as you investigate the keyboard shortcuts. HTH Jeff
  15. Yes, the installation location is C:\ProgramFiles\WindowsApps\Affinity\... but that is a "hidden" folder for which you have to gain Administrator permission via the Security tab. There is a very useful utility TakeOwnershipEx which will allow you to access this folder (by changing permissions) and, after you have completed whatever you need to do, will also enable the resetting of those permissions to the Windows default. However, having done that and gained access I'm not at all sure whether this will actually allow you to set up the file associations you wished to do. HTH Jeff
  16. @NST Welcome to the Affinity forums. From where did you purchase Publisher? From what you write I suspect it was the Affinity (Serif) store, whereas you bought Designer and Photo on the Mac App Store. If that is correct, because the Serif and Mac stores have NO connection or interchange of information at all, the MAS will always show Publisher as "available to buy". HTH Jeff
  17. Welcome to the Affinity forums. I can't help you with the problem of geographical location but I can tell you that PagePlus and DrawPlus files will not open directly in any of the Affinity apps. The only method currently available is to save/export those files as pdf in the originating apps and then open the pdf(s) in the selected Affinity app. This method is not "perfect" or "ideal", perhaps, but it is the only way. HTH Jeff (another long-time user of Serif "legacy" products)
  18. That is something you will need to discuss with your bank or card issuer. Serif have no control over how long your bank/card issuer takes to remove the charge on your account. Jeff
  19. @DM Green What about what @walt.farrell asked, the Windows Event Viewer? Jeff
  20. @DM Green Welcome to the Affinity forums. Please go to %appdata%/Affinity/Photo/1.0/CrashReports/reports and post here the most recent of any files stored there. (If you're not sure how to access this folder and files, press the Windows key and R and copy and paste the address into the box that opens.) I assume when you say HARD Crash you mean the app crashes, or are you saying that Windows crashes? Hopefully, it is not the latter! HTH Jeff
  21. @Michelle Coombes That is the confirmation that you actually "bought" (though no payment involved) the Affinity Publisher pre-release Beta. That phase of the app's cycle is now long-finished; the app has been released (as a paid-for item) and there is also a Customer Beta program, to install which you must have previously purchased the release version of the app. There is currently, for a few days at least, a 50% off sale, so now might well be the "perfect time" for you to buy! 😀 HTH Jeff
  22. @Mike Barnes I would fully endorse what @Claudio60 has written. I actually use an Epson V550 scanner for precisely this kind of work. It is not cheap but, in my opinion, well worth the money if you have a large number of slides and/or negatives to scan. HTH Jeff
  23. @Ruty Welcome the Serif Affinity forums. Your question is about one of Serif's legacy products; the forum for that is here. The very specific information you need is to be found in this post. Ensure you read the second post in that thread. HTH Jeff
  24. @Michelle Coombes You say you purchased Affinity Publisher in 2018. But it was not released until June 2019. (See this post from Ash Hewson) Assuming you do mean a purchase made in 2018, I suspect you actually bought Designer or Photo? Whichever it was should certainly still be showing in your account at whichever store you chose to purchase through. HTH Jeff
  25. @Thomas892 You have opened your "Program Data" folder which is not the one Gabe asked you to rename! To access the specific file, press the "Windows" key (normally bottom left of your keyboard and "r" (the "r" key). This will open the Run box. Into that box copy and paste the exact words that Gabe gave you, i.e. That will reveal the actual folder you need to change, "1.0" to "1.0 Backup". (By default, the "AppData" folder is hidden from users.) HTH Jeff
