  1. Your Document color settings are set to RGB32/HDR. Change it to "RGB/8". Then the export is fine.
  2. Cant reproduce this issue. What i find a bit strange is that you dont have an ICC Profile chosen, yet the checkmark "Embed ICC profiles" is checked on. Have you tried unchecking the "Embed ICC profiles"-checkbox or set SRG in the "ICC profile:"-Dropdown?
  3. Thanks for your feedback Antje, I suspect that Apple Preview and Acrobat display a white background for PDFs by default. You can change this in Acrobat under Settings > Page display, if you wish, and a corresponding transparency grid will be displayed. I have tested this again with your file > everything is fine.
  4. Hi Antje, i can not reproduce a white background when exporting a selection to PDF (e.g. X4) from your document. When i get to a color Separation in AcrobatPro i just see the process colors CMYK, no additional spotcolor. Importing to other Applications also does not generate a white background (Illustrator, Photoshop, Designer …) Where exactly do you get the "Papier-Weiss" color?
  5. Drop shadows are not vector-based effects but raster effects, of course they look pixelated when enlarged. In the PDF export, you can set the value to be used for rasterisation (default 300) directly under the menu where you set the settings for PDF X4 Standard. Depending on the output size of the print medium and the viewing distance, different values can be used here. If the whole thing is used for advertising material in screen printing, no drop shadow can usually be printed here.
  6. After binge-reading the forum threads and comments on youtbe for half the day yesterday, and almost getting depressed, I'm glad that Serif has come back here with a few more statements. Although I can fully understand many of the comments and fears. But: The last statement from Serif makes me feel quite confident, ultimately the future and common sense will show where the journey will take us. Now that I have migrated all my work data to Affinity, I would be happy not to have to switch back to Adobe
  7. I have read through all 15 pages in this thread. I share all the fears about a subscription model and the further development and overall quality. I also think Affinity's reputation may suffer somewhat if it is associated with canva. I have been using Affinity since V1.0, bought the complete universal licence V2 with Designer, Publisher and Photo and would love to continue doing so. I was also able to convince some colleagues at work to use Affinity and have migrated all my work documents from Adobe CC to Affinity. I'm not very happy about this news and have very mixed feelings and concerns. But on the other hand i'm also curious to see what information Serif will provide in the next few days. If all else fails, I will have to switch back to Adobe CC… 🥴
