  1. I mean it's expected, given canva's business model. And that's fine, of canva offers affinity with it's other subscription services. What worried me is no affordable perpetual license. Which they made clear they will still offer. If they're offering both, then great, more options for people. But if they lose perpetual, that sucks. I can't see myself paying a subscription.
  2. I don't have a need post on the forum regularly. This isn't exactly a high traffic social media destination. So what do you expect? But Im just a hobbist artist. If you see my first post I was pretty critical about the situation. I'm still cautious.
  3. Thank you! I appreciate that you've come together with canva to clarify the future of affinity. I hope to continue being an affinity customer, especially since an affordable perpetual license for some quality apps is what made me a customer in the first place.
  4. I gotta say I'm not a fan of this deal. I bought the affinity apps, V1 and V2 because they're were perfect for me as someone who like to make digital art, but not necessarily making any money from it. I liked being able to pay for an app and not worry about paying for it indefinitely. I'm worried this means V3, or whatever affinity becomes after canva, will become subscription based. The very deliberately worded press release makes it clear the current system doesn't change, but offers zero reassurance for the future. I really don't like subscription models. You will have lost me as a customer if that winds up being the case.
