  1. Hi @Kuis Sorry to hear you are having this issue. I need a little more information: What macOS are you using? What printer are you using and does it have the latest printer driver installed? Does this happen with all of your documents or is it restricted to a specific document? Are you able to export your documents as a PDF and print using Preview or Adobe Acrobat Reader?
  2. Hi @Jonopen I've just managed to recreate this issue in 1.8.5.703. I'll get it logged, thanks.
  3. Are they both in the same folder? I am also wondering if you do in fact have 3 versions installed. You will be fine on 1.8.5 if you uninstall 1.8.3 and 1.8.4.693. Moving forward, in future if you are keen on keeping your working current release build while testing our higher versions you should do this by trying the Beta instead of having 2 release builds installed. That way you can have both the latest release build and use the higher Beta version without it causing any conflicts. If you then find the Beta is working ok you can install the latest release and uninstall the older version. Your iPad files should work fine on your PC once 1.8.5 is the only installed release build on your machine. You won't be able to roll the iPad back so you need to upgrade the PC for them to work together. The latest Beta can be found here:
  4. Thanks for the extra info, I notice that is says Affinity Designer is located on your D:\ drive. Is this an external drive or a partition on your main drive? It also says you are running v1.8.4.693 and not 1.8.5 - is there a chance you have them both on your machine in different places?
  5. Yes sorry, I can draw faster with the pen than the mouse which is why that distracted me. I am still unable to reproduce what you are saying, needing to wait 2-3 seconds before drawing. There is a slight delay when it initialises the brush but I don't find I have to wait. Have you tried turning on Pixel Mode on in Designer? That may improve it for you.
  6. Hi @haneefy Your English is very good. Could you upload your document to this dropbox folder so I can take a look? Would you also be able to make a video of the process of you exporting so I don't miss any steps please?
  7. Hi @madPXL Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. I've not been able to reproduce this. I have a Wacom Intuos Pro, macOS Catalina 10.15.5, Affinity Designer 1.8.5. Since your original post there has been a Wacom driver update. I don't know if that has made any difference. Have you installed Driver 6.3.41-2?
  8. Hi @Aloof Would you be able to upload this document so I can take a closer look please? You can upload it to this Dropbox Folder if you don't want to share it publicly.
  9. Hi @KeithG34 Welcome to the Affinity forums! Sorry for the delay in responding to your issue. Are all of your updates on Windows / drivers etc. all up to date? Can you take a look at your Event Viewer to see if it can give you any details on what is happening?
  10. Hi @redesigned Thanks for updating us on the solution you used to resolve the issue. Can you tell me what profiles you had them set to that caused the issue please?
  11. Hi, sorry for the delay in getting back to you. I don't appear to have your file. I think it might have been uploaded when I was off for a few days. I'm sorry to be a pain but can you upload it here to the Dropbox Folder please so I can take a look?
  12. Hi @Rhunno Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. Do you by any chance have any other controller devices installed even if you are not using them? They could be causing a conflict. I had an issue on my Mac that turned out to be a Wacom tablet that was connected but was switched off. I removed the cable that connected it to my Mac and everything worked as normal. I've seen other forum users have similar issues due to mouse drivers so worth a look.
  13. Hi there, I've looked into this and have to ask you if you've tried rebooting it? There have been some cases where a reboot can fix the issue. Can you upload a video of what happens when you try to open one of these documents please? Is there an error message displayed?
  14. Thanks for the info. I don't suppose you remember what part you worked on before the pinning do you? I've sent you a PM.
  15. Hi @zimmt Thanks for the information, that is a big help. We've looked into this further and it appears this issues been logged. I will add your information on to the logged issue and pass it on to the developers to give it a nudge. Thanks 👍
  16. Thanks for the extra info. Had you just pinned an image in a picture frame when the issue started?
  17. Hi @shushustorm Can you please upload a video of the steps to make it crash please? Could you also include a document that it crashes on too?
  18. Hi @zimmt I have replied to you about this issue on your thread linked above. 👍
  19. Hi @shushustorm Would you be able to upload a video of this happening so I can see it in action and try and replicate it please?
  20. I have set Chrome 85.0.4183.121 (Official Build) (64-bit) as my default browser but am still unable to reproduce the issue. I only set it to cover HTTP and HTTPS and it seemed to work ok. Can you remember which settings you were using?
  21. I think I've found the issue. There is a text frame on your original document that seems to be the cause of the crash. If you try to delete it the document will crash. I don't have the technical skills to fix this myself but I can see if one of my colleagues can. I can't make any promises though. Do you remember when the issue started happening? Or if something specific happened that might have caused the file to become corrupt? Do you store your files on an external hard drive by any chance?
  22. Hi @zimmt Thanks for pointing me over to your thread. I am sorry you haven't had any response as yet. I'd like to add your information to the issue I logged on Monday as your fix is mentioned on it following your comments / assistance on the thread. Can I ask what printer you are using when you re having these crashes?
  23. Thanks for the extra info. I will try making chrome my default browser and see if I can reproduce it. Can you tell me what version of Chrome you are running in case it is version specific?
