  1. Hello @SPaceBar I forgot to mention but I did try running the latest beta and the same thing happened where Affinity Designer just freezes..😕 I didn't think about fonts impacting this. I use a ton of .ttf files and a few .otf files for the different designs I come up with. Do you think I need to just delete all of my fonts to see if that could be the issue? I would hate to loose all those fonts. I always install the fonts once I've downloaded them and just delete the zips. Is there a way to copy all of my fonts and back them up somewhere prior to me testing this out?
  2. Hi @SPaceBar. My apologies for the delayed response. Happy New Year to you as well. I've performed a clean install of both my Nvidia graphics driver and my Affinity Designer app just to make sure I'm testing out a fresh start on both. Unfortunately, the app still hangs at the title screen after the "Loading Font" prompt. The next screen appears with a black layout as if it's trying to load but then hangs. I would hate to have to do an entire factory reset to my laptop in order to see if that will fix this. I think I'm at a point where my iPad and Desktop will have to do. I'll just stick with gaming on my laptop, hahaha. I'm still up for any other suggestions but it seems like we may be out of options here. Thanks for your help with this.
  3. Sorry about that. Here are the text formats for the Application and Csystem logs. I'm not sure what to look for through all that information. However, I did not notice any errors involving Color Management. Applicaionlogs.txt Csystemlogs.txt
  4. I forgot about the partial event viewer. Well, at least there is a known issue that you all are aware of. I've attached both my full Applications and System logs from my Event Viewer. I'm not sure what any of it means but I hope what I've provided is of use. Thanks again. Applicaionlogs.evtx Csystemlogs.evtx
  5. Hi @SPaceBar. I've been busy at my job with the last quarter of the year and all. I should have the time to give this another try by the end of the week the latest. I've tried the Event Viewer process in the past. I've tried that back around 10/9. (back in this thread) I'll go through the latest instructions that you've provided and see if those will make a difference. Thank you for your help with this. I really hope we are making traction to a resolution for this.
  6. Sorry I took a long break on this. I've read this post before and I could not find a solution from that information. I've reviewed those topics again just to make sure I did not overlook anything useful but to no avail. The hang up still exists. Thanks for your help on with all of this. I'm not sure if there are any other options out there but if so, I'm open to it.
  7. I meant to respond to this a few weeks ago. Sorry about that. The function that you've recommended didn't work. I saw the prompt with the option to clear but once I performed that the app still freezes. I'm not sure if it's just some old files conflicting with the app or what. I hate to not have the apps running on my laptop however I am able to run the apps on my desktop. I've never installed any Affinity products to it so I figured I wouldn't have any conflicting issues or whatever. I wish I can get this annoying issue fixed on my laptop but I'm clueless at this point.
  8. I noticed that yesterday and just replaced it with Designer within that link you sent last week. I've been to that folder last week. I went there to delete all of those files just to make sure I had no trace of any Affinity apps before I tried reinstalling Affinity Designer 1.8.5. Yesterday, I tried installing the latest Publisher app just to see if that would run. Publisher also starts and hangs the same as Designer. I used the same link you sent and replaced Photo with Publisher just to see if a crash report appears in that folder and I did not see one. It seems that any of the Affinity programs that I launch that crashes, do not produce a report. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.
  9. Oddly I do not see any .dmp file(s) in the reports folder. However, I have attached a screenshot of the optional drivers updates. I feel like this wouldn't be the issue but I figure I would send that info anyways. Is there another way that I can pull in the crash report for Affinity Designer 1.8.5 other than the steps you've provided.
  10. I did have Affinity Designer 1.8.4 and 1.8.3 installed all at once when I initially posted my issue. I've uninstalled everything related to Affinity and then re-installed Affinity Designer only to my C drive only. I checked to see if I had any Window updates pending just to rule that out and I'm currently up to date with the latest Windows 10 OS. I went to launch 1.8.5 and I'm experiencing the same issue. I'm not sure what else that I need to do at this point. I'm up to date with Windows 10, I'm only running one version of Affinity Designer (technically only one Affinity product at this point) and all drivers are up to date. I did see optional driver updates but I wouldn't know which one would help resolve my issue. Any other suggestions? Thank for your time and help.
  11. Yes. I decided to try one version up (1.8.4) from the current working version that I'm using which is 1.8.3 to see if I would have any luck towards getting that version to run. I have a solid state drive (C:) and a HDD (D:) that's initially installed in my laptop. I do use an external hard drive but it I do not run the program from there. I have 1.8.4 and 1.8.3 installed on my the D drive. I've even tried previously of just installing 1.8.4 on my C drive and have 1.8.3 installed on the D drive only. Both methods had the same response by not hanging once launched. I'm very nervous about removing the only working version that I have on my laptop at the moment (1.8.3) just to install the latest version for it not to work. Should I have only one version at a time?
  12. Hi SPaceBar, Thank you for replying. I checked the Event Viewer and found the following: The program Designer.exe version 1.8.4.693 stopped interacting with Windows and was closed. 13. Hello anyone, I have yet to receive a response to this issue and I have yet to find a solution to my problem through my continued research since this post. Do I need to post somewhere else to get this looked at? I really would love to get back to using this amazing software but it seems that I might be the only one having this issue based on the no response within this post.
  14. Hello, I have been enjoying all Affinity products until the recent update to 1.8.5 for Affinity Designer. I have an issue similar to @Henskelis stated but I have had no successful in the app just miraculously working all the sudden. I am able to install Affinity Designer 1.8.5 with no issues. When I launch the app, the launch stalls after initializing fonts, then it completely freezes for me. My specs are the following: Windows OS: 10 Build: 19041.85 PC: MSI RAM: 8gb Processor: Intel(r) Core(TM) i7-7700HQ @ 2.80GHz GPU - NVIDIA Geoforce GTX 1050Ti I only have my wireless mouse plugged into on of my PC's 2.0 ports. I had no issues with Affinity 1.8.3 and I still can run that version now. I would like to start back using this app on my laptop alongside the 1.8.5 version that I have on my iPad. The only reason I need 1.8.5 on my PC is because any file created in 1.8.5 from my iPad fails to launch in Affinity Designer 1.8.3 on my PC. Any advice as to what I need to do to clear this issue? If this can't be resolved is there a way that I can revert back my iPad version to allow compatibility in the meantime? Looking forward to hearing from you and thanks in advance for any help.
  15. I have had an issue with running Affinity Designer since update 1.8.4. I've troubleshot everything that I possible could. I performed all Windows 10 updates. I performed numerous installations. I performed command line to scan files to make sure none of them are broken. I have no problem performing clean installations, the program just doesn't completely boot up for me. However, I am able to run Affinity Designer 1.8.3 with no issues at all.The issue that I have with continuing to run 1.8.3 from my PC is that I work between the iPad app (1.8.4) and trying to open a .afdesign file from 1.8.4 inside 1.8.3 and I am not able to do so. I really would like to get this resolved as soon as possible. Thanks in advance for any help or pointing me into the right direction. Running: Windows 10.0.19041 Build 19041
