  1. Hi @Garytagreg I have been able to reproduce the crash both in 1.8.4 and in the Beta build 1.9.0.742. I noticed that it also happened when adding a text frame and typing in it. If you do the following it should stop the crashing: Open the template > Go to Edit > Defaults > Factory Reset The Edit > Defaults > Revert It should now work ok. I will get this issue logged and pass this information on to the development team.
  2. I've been using Grab on my old machines for many years now: https://support.apple.com/en-gb/guide/grab/welcome/mac I was surprised when it was phased out with Mojave
  3. Ahh I can see what happened there. Can you try this link instead? You should see all your previous crash reports there. Open Windows Run (Windows Key + R) then paste the following string and press OK: %APPDATA%\Affinity\Designer\1.0\CrashReports\reports In the window that opens, select the most recently created .dmp file, then attach this to your reply here.
  4. @anon2 My bad, as Grab was pre-installed I just always used that. I didn't notice the change between my different machines. 👍
  5. Thanks @anon2 I would have used that if it had been on my Catalina machine. Sadly my Sierra iMac it doesn't have the screenshot functionality built in which is why I was using Grab. It's sorted now though anyway. Thanks @Gear maker 👍
  6. Thanks @Gear maker I couldn't get a screenshot of this on my Sierra iMac as every time I click the icon for Grab the button text appears and when I click back to Affinity Designer it disappears again. 👍
  7. HI @Jeremy Bohn Thanks for letting us know. This issue has been logged so I will add your information to the bug. 👍
  8. Hi @Jeremy Bohn Thanks for letting us know. This issue has been logged so I will update the bug to include your information.
  9. Hi @Kuis Thanks for the extra info. Could I get you to try something for me please? Go into the Notes app or TextEdit and type anything Select to Print > Presets > Show Presets > Tick the box to Reset Presets Menu to "Default Settings" After Printing Continue to print Now launch Affinity Designer > Open a document > Select Print If it hasn't crashed > Select printer settings manually and not "Last Used Settings" > Continue to print Select Print again > Untick the reset option listed above Let me know how you get on with this. 👍
  10. Hi @Sebastian Bohmann I was the same when I first got my iPad but learnt the hard way. Now I treat it like my desktop or any laptop and I save after any significant change. I save if I walk away for a while and save if I stop working and switch apps. It's best not to leave anything to chance.
  11. Hi Mike, I've just switched to light mode and it is indeed missing the text on the "Create" button. I'll get that issue logged. Thanks
  12. Hi @roguezink No problem, if you are unable to share it I understand. Would you be able to get a screenshot showing the amount of RAM usage on Activity Monitor? That might help instead.
  13. Hi @Gear maker Thanks for the screenshot, oddly I couldn't reproduce this on my Sierra iMac. This was from a fresh boot. Did you do this from a fresh boot and is it always missing? I'm just wondering if I'm missing any steps. Thanks
  14. Thanks for the video, that's a big help. I haven't been able to reproduce this on my iMac so will see if any of my colleagues that are using external monitors can. Can I ask what monitor you are using, what macOS you use and what version of Publisher you are using in case they ask for more details? Thanks
  15. Hi @JamesA Thanks for the screenshot. As you say it happens sometimes, do you have any idea what you are doing when specifically when it does? We would need to know what triggers the issue to be able to reproduce it. When you see it happening next time would you be able to upload a video of what you are currently doing so we can reproduce the steps? Thanks
  16. Hi @AndersonScopel Sorry for the delay in getting back to you on this. I've not been able to reproduce this myself but I've seen that there is an issue where the "Save" option inside the document can behave inconsistently. This issue is known and I will pass your information on to development. This does mean that either using the "Save a copy" option or the "Save" option in the Gallery - both methods you've been using are still your best options at the moment. I tend to go with "Save a copy" for my own peace of mind personally.I've also seen explained in this thread here that the closing of the app can be down to the iOS reallocating ram. I have also been unable to recreate this and that might be that my files are not as large and complex and I can only suggest using the save options mentioned above before switching apps in case the iOS decides to reallocate the ram used by Designer to your files app.
  17. Can you upload the crash report here please so we can take a look? You can find it by following these instructions: Open Windows Run (Windows Key + R) then paste the following string and press OK: %APPDATA%\Affinity\Photo\1.0\CrashReports\reports In the window that opens, select the most recently created .dmp file, then attach this to your reply here. I can't comment on the drivers without knowing what apps you have installed and what drivers they are offering you. If you want to screenshot them I can take a look.
  18. Thanks @Old Bruce I'll give that a try the other way round if you know what I mean.
  19. Hi @vitaprimo Are you able to reproduce these issues consistently as I need some steps to follow? If you are could you upload a video of this happening please? It would also be helpful to see the file in the video so I can to try and reproduce it myself. I can give you a link to a dropbox folder if you'd rather not upload your document publicly.
  20. Hi @scrutinizer I have been unable to reproduce this based on your instructions alone. Can you upload a video of the steps you take in case there is something specificI am not doing?
  21. Hi @AndRo Marian I have managed to recreate this, it has been logged already so I will add your information to the issue. Thanks
  22. Thank you for the file, I'm not sure what the steps are to make this happen on this file as you haven't provided them. Are you able to also upload the rabbit document as I can compare that document to the video.
