  1. Ok, thanks for your attention. I’ve given up on this ever being fixed. After several years, it would seem that no one at Affinity cares about this important bug ever being fixed. Very disappointing.
  2. @NathanC Was the above sufficient evidence of the metadata being destroyed by Photo during export for many years now? Is this the only channel that users can contact Affinity? Is there nowhere to raise a support case?
  3. I haven't got time to go through every thread here https://www.google.com/search?q=affinity+photo+losing+exif+data+on+export+site:forum.affinity.serif.com&sca_esv=ec1d9ca90aff3fe1&sxsrf=AHTn8zp_5kcv7v4nMPQI5sz9ZBVTut34IA:1739983776983&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwjfk8TXmNCLAxUJXEEAHXQ1Be8QrQIoBHoECA4QBQ&biw=1358&bih=1353&dpr=1.8 but there is a lot of evidence over the years of Photo deleting metadata. I have quoted a few time/date related issues at the top of this thread, but there are a lot more fields that go missing. It's all part of the same long outstanding issue.
  4. @NathanC As I said in my original post here, there have been threads on this for years. We are talking about from back in 2015! As I recall, Photo was released in 2015, then these issues have been there since day one. 10 years ago. So, what would you say the chances are that this important bug will be fixed any time soon?
  5. Not great, Nathan. You have reported on previous occasions and nothing, I mean nothing, actually gets done. This is an important bug as AP is destroying important EXIF data. I won't be holding my breath on this, and my faith in Affinity products has been seriously diminished.
  6. So, this is now a further (almost) 7 months on, and 2.6 has been released. THERE IS STILL NO FIX FOR THIS VERY BAD BUG! How can I reach out to the devs to find out what is happening with this?
  7. This really is unacceptable. Several months in since I reported this - no idea how long it has been going on - and Photo destroying useful EXIF data has still not been fixed! I'm no expert, but I wouldn't have thought this was a difficult fix!
  8. Hi. Any news on this? Even in new builds, AP is still stripping out all that info on export.
  9. Great! Thanks Nathan, I feel it needs sorting.
  10. Sure, will do , but your table isn't showing any EXIF, IPTC or XMP data, which is where most of the issues are.
  11. Sure. Here is the before and after edit in AP.
  12. I know there have been threads on this a few years ago, but there is still the issue of Photo stripping out metadata after opening a jpg, then exporting it. See attached for an example of before editing in AP and after. This can cause issues with other software. 'Embed metadata' is check in Export dialogue. Is this something we just have to accept, or will it be fixed?
  13. Thanks Tom, but you had previously said - in your first post here - that the IPTC data was being incorrectly assigned to photomechanic and that it would be fixed!
  14. Sure, but it's still not being handled correctly, and could cause confusion in other apps.
  15. So, I updated to 2449, and I'm pleased to say the 'lost' time in XMP:photoshop has been fixed. Thanks a lot for that. However, as previously described by Tom above, the IPTC 'incorrectly re-map to photomech in the case of TimeCreated' is still happening, as that bogus entry appears after an AP edit.
