Archangel Posted September 5, 2019 Posted September 5, 2019 Why doesn't Affinity Photo Panorama Persona import .afphoto files? Quote
Alfred Posted September 5, 2019 Posted September 5, 2019 Probably because it can only work with flat images, and native Affinity files may be multi-layered. Probably for the same reason it won't import PDF or PSD files either. Dan C Posted September 6, 2019 Posted September 6, 2019 Hi Michael Harvey The above information is correct, Affinitys panorama stitcher requires flat images (such as JPEGs) in order to create a panorama. I'll move this thread to our Feedback section of the forums for our devs to see and consider implementing .afphoto compatibility in the future! Archangel and R C-R 1 1 Quote
Archangel Posted September 6, 2019 Author Posted September 6, 2019 Thank you all. I was just curious as a native file format should be considered for implementation in an application's features. Dan C 1 Quote
Jaava Posted October 1, 2019 Posted October 1, 2019 Hi, I was just trying to find something about the very same question. The tutorial video: Affinity Photo - Panoramas states (at 00:32) that "you can even stitch Affinity document files" ... are'nt they *.afphoto files? BTW. Affinity tutorials are very good. Quote
Dan C Posted October 1, 2019 Posted October 1, 2019 Hi Jaava Thanks for pointing this out, unfortunately the tutorial is incorrect here, and the documentation team have been made aware of this - we'll look at editing/reshooting the video in the future! 13 minutes ago, Jaava said: BTW. Affinity tutorials are very good Thanks for your kind feedback, I've made sure this was passed through to the team also Quote
