Sharpen possibility at export of JPEG

Recommended Posts

Hi,

when i export a sharp picture to JPEG and make it a bit smaller, then the jepg isn't as sharp as the picture in Affinity.

In other Tools like Lightroom or Luminar, i can choose a sharpen possibility in the export dialog.

Could be a helpful feature also for Affinity.

Best regards

Volker

When you resize your picture on export (make it a bit smaller) you will lose much of your sharpening. If you want your image smaller, you should resize first, then sharpen, then export at that size.

But that is exactly that OP is saying :-D
It would be handy to have sharpen in export dialog to get that resample>sharpen>export workflow at one go.

That said, Lightroom and Luminar are made to export photos in (large) batches and there powerful export functions are mandatory, not so much in AP which is more for handling single photos at the time.
