GDPR-354025
Hey sailors, can a poor old forum member request actual photo-editing work here? Some time ago, my gnarled fingers corresponded with forum users about cleaning up horrible B&W photos. I knackered myself with Frequency Separation, engaging in hand-to-cane combat with a Tool I still do not understand. I forced every doagie of a cell in my antique brain into dangerous High Passes, another Tool I will in my advanced age never master. And then some young gun came along and came up with a near-perfect improvement but never explained how he/she achieved it. If it matters, I'm requesting help for an even more ancient mariner on the seas of Affinity. He recently got a photocopy of a B&W photograph, not larger than 1-inch x 1.5, of an individual with an interesting and frankly checkered past. With the use of my Affinity 1.7.1, my friend's elementary manipulations made me soil my nappies, and I am not kidding. The miniscule portrait of this not-nice dude, when enlarged, shows or seems to show for lack of a better word twin raised nodules on the far side of either eyebrow, into which a Cross seems to be... engraved. I got so scared looking at this. If those symbols aren't the figments of our febrile imaginations, I sincerely don't want to look at that face for as long as it would take to clean up the image. So-- Are Affinity users, frail or not, allowed to ask for actual photo-editing help here, either for a fee or free? A "Yes" or "No" will be sufficient. Thank you, and happy Sunday. GDPR-354025
Thank you, my liege. I would only point out that the boom in geneology solipsism in the U.S. of A. relies exclusively on a site with the word "newspapers" in the URL. Serious suggestion, and that is that whenever an Affinity update is in the works, some tool is developed for dealing with photocopied photographs, whether of those fond of horn-ed beasts or of Great-Great-Great Gramma's winning apple pie at the 1956 bake-off. An interesting concept! What would be the point of indulging in genealogical pursuits if you believed that only you yourself can be known to exist? I am used to the seamless ease of FTF-- I mean FFT.
