error loading brushes with new update 172

Yesterday I was able to import any brush ,,,     today I could not load   brushes  and those who  don't get error do no show in the drop down menu..  Reseted the brushes and now i cant load those who were already imported....  same brushes were imported  a month ago after reset the brush won't import

Same issue here.

Really hope this is going to be fixed soon as need to import a LOT of brush sets and even re-exporting them from Photoshop doesn't work and they are definitely 100% valid abr files when doing this. All other apps import them fine and 1.7 imported them fine too.

I can confirm. Just tried on my Mac, but trying to import a brush (.abr) results in an error message:
Running OS 10.14.6 and AP 1.7.2
Unexpected Brush Format. Failed to load file ........(name & path of brush)

Really hope this makes it out as an update really soon as finding work very difficult at the moment without being able to load brushes in.
