Too many brushes will not install

Unfortunately not. Definitely an issue on desktop and has been confirmed. I've been re-creating so many brushes the past couple of days as can't install anything

Too many brushes will not install

Not sure if the iPad is having the same problem as the desktop versions but there is a known bug on 1.7.2 desktop that is preventing any brushes from being imported. They're looking into that now so hoping that might be the same thing with the iPad version. Best wishes, Mark
  3. My apologies. I missed the forum heading that you were doing this on an iPad. Sorry about that. Glad you've got it all working now though. Best wishes, Mark
  4. Here you go. Attached the SVG to this post for you. I used Firefox but in Safari just navigate to the SVG file and then use the Save As command to save the page source. That will save it as an SVG for you. Best wishes, Mark Hexagon.svg

Hi there, A very long-time user of Photoshop and just about every other image editing App you've heard of and probably a few you haven't I thought I'd show my work in here with Affinity Photo now that I've completely moved across from using Photoshop. I'm loving every single second of Affinity Photo and I believe that it's waaaaay easier to do most nearly everything in Affinity than it is in Photoshop even though I've been using Photoshop literally since the very first version of it. Anyway I'm going to post images that I've created using Affinity Photo and will update this thread when I create new pieces as long as that is okay with everyone in here and the forum moderators / Serif? Many thanks for taking a look, Mark https://instagram.com/mbphotomanipulations https://www.facebook.com/mbphotomanipulation

Fuji Beach. Daytime grading, night-time grading and before images.
  7. When adding an adjustment layer you can click and hold on the button for the options to come up. When adding a Live Filter you have to click and let go for them to appear. Would rather it were the first option for both (click and hold) to keep the interface consistent as then you can click, hold, drag to what you want all in one easy movement. Thanks, Mark Sorry video attachment possibly doesn't show this as easily as just trying it out. Buttons.mp4

Cat On Windowsill. Just wanted to try for realism in this one instead of my usual surreal style.
  9. Yep! :-) Count me in to the gang!! :-)
  10. Ah crikey!! I'd been trying to do it with the layer locked!!! :-) That would definitely explain it!! Best wishes, Mark

  12. Hi, Not sure if this has been requested before or not but would be nice if when creating (for example) a new brush group that a name dialogue came up for the group so you could name it there and then. Currently it just names all new groups Brushes and then you've got to remember to go back in after to change the name. As we can't import any brushes at the moment due to the bug I've been having to re-create a lot of my brush sets by hand (no mean feat at all) and this would just speed up the process no end. It would obviously be a help even not in this instance though. It's possible there might be other places in the interface where this would be useful too. Thanks, Mark
  13. EDIT - Sorry, please ignore my post. Didn't see that it was posted in the Windows forum!! Just tested this but not having the problem here. Icon returns back to a circle after panning round the screen using space bar. Are you on Windows too Claudio? Mac OSX 10.12.5 Mac Pro (Mid 2010)
  14. Adjustment Layer Error E.mp4 Could be something silly I'm doing or not understanding properly or a setting I've overlooked ... but... I had some circular shapes which I grouped and then applied a Motion Blur live adjustment layer to the group. That worked fine and the blur works. I then went to mask out some of the blur but the mask never does anything. Dragging the mask out of the group and above it instantly applied the effect I was looking for though. Screencast attached. Thanks, Mark
  15. Ah okay thanks. Glad you're aware of it as it's really limiting what I can do (and I'm guessing others too) so hoping for a fix fairly soon Tell the Dev guys they're doing an absolutely stellar job though and not to stop. Affinity Photo is definitely the killer app to Ado•e!! :-) Best wishes, Mark
  16. Not sure if this has been asked for before (did look but may not have used the correct search term). Would love it if when painting onto a mask and setting the brush mode to Overlay if it would do like it does in many other applications. When using black it will not paint over white and the same in reverse. Currently blend modes make no difference at all when painting into a mask which makes creating masks a longer process. Having said that, I'm not sure what the elves at Serif did exactly but in 1.7.2 the refine dialogue masks out images about 1000% quicker than before so thank you very very much for that! Absolutely stellar job! Best wishes, Mark
  17. Hiya, Yep that's the way I've had to do it (by rasterising the mask layer). Definitely not the way I'd like to do it though. Hope this can get fixed soon. Best wishes, Mark

Hi Poto, No problems at all. Best wishes, Mark
  19. Actually not sure if this is perhaps related also but if I apply say a motion blur to a group then it doesn't just affect that group it's also affecting any layers beneath it also which is a real pain at the moment as I have to merge down lots of layers in the group in order to be able to apply the blur (or whatever effect) to just that one layer. I haven't tried everything but it was also doing it with Levels and HSL adjustment layers too. I'm guessing it's possibly the whole suite of adjustment layers though which is a real shame so hopefully this can be fixed soon. Have attached a video showing what's happening. Actually can see it's when I have the highlights layer which is basically a black filled layer set to Colour Dodge and which just has white painted into it. If you switch this layer off then the blur only affects the group like it should be. As soon as that layer is turned back on again then everything beneath gets blurred too. Not too sure why though? Best wishes, Mark Layers Problem.mp4

Hi there, I'm sorry is one of those images yours then? Are you David Bartus? I have meant to put the links to the sources in but forgot. I will definitely start doing that in future. I'll probably (hopefully) be putting some tutorials together for how I'm creating these although I've never done that sort of thing before so it will be a steep learning curve. Also I had noticed his right eye (left as you look at him) was a little wonky but didn't want to change it as it's nature and nothing's perfect in nature. Well that's what I thought anyway Best wishes, Mark
  21. Affinity Photo Mask Painting.mp4 Possibly mistaken although possible I'm doing something wrong or something wrong on my system? Video attached to show what is happening. When I paint with white over the black area of the mask then it shouldn't paint any white there. That's what you'd normally expect from painting with overlay mode set. Can anyone else confirm if this is happening to them? Thanks, Mark
  22. Sorry to pop in on the end here but this is also an issue in Affinity Photo too. Not sure if there's already a thread / bug report about that though? If there isn't then I can pop one in the forum, just didn't want to go adding one if there is already. Best wishes, Mark

Hi Peter, Thank you very much for the kind words they're very much appreciated. Best wishes, Mark
  24. You've said you've opened 'a document' with Microsoft Editor. I'm not a Windows user but just wondering what type of document it is that you're referring to opening here?
