rui_mac
Is it possible already? If it is, I didn't found how. I remember back in old FreeHand days we had the option to turn on the Hanging punctuation where all commas, colons, semicolons, periods, etc, would be placed outside the text box, allowing the text characters to align properly. As it is now, we get this: A_B_C and crow
Staff MEB Posted June 15, 2015 Staff Share Posted June 15, 2015 Hi Rui, No, not possible yet. I believe it will become available with Affinity Publisher. rui_mac and crow 2 Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software | Affinity Quick Reference
rui_mac
Great to know. And, when it gets available in Affinity Publisher, the same code will be used throughout all application, becoming available in Designer and Photo also, right? crow
crow
Would love to see this feature and other advanced typographic features added to Publisher/Designer/Photo, since I deal with type a lot. Cheers! rui_mac
Staff MEB Posted June 16, 2015 Staff Share Posted June 16, 2015 Hi Rui, I think only relevant tools/features will be ported back to other apps. You will never see Raw development tools in Publisher to pick an extreme example. Presently I don't know which features will be available in which app, but we are still months away from Publisher's Beta. rui_mac
Yes, I do understand that. However, I thought that the text engine could/should be consistent between all applications.
Staff MEB Posted June 16, 2015 Staff Share Posted June 16, 2015 Yes, common features will work the same in all apps. They are all based on the same code. I just don't know if all text related features will be supported in all apps like flowing text between text frames in Photo for example... rui_mac 1 Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software | Affinity Quick Reference
