Floriance Posted July 23, 2019 Posted July 23, 2019 I have a problem with name-logo. I created it with Mac and Affinity Designer and exported in vector format. But when it will be opened with Adobe Illustrator for printing it is not in vector format. What is wrong, what should I do to make it in correct format? Here attached the affinity files as well as eps. Wisdomic by Affinity DesignerII.eps Wisdomic by AD.afdesign White Wisdomic by Affinity Designer.afdesign Quote
gdenby Posted July 23, 2019 Posted July 23, 2019 Pretty much a hobbyist here, but you are mixing pixel layers w. vectors. Typically mixing the 2 causes everything to be rasterized. From the looks of it, the logo could be done in all vectors. Get rid of the masks. Convert the letters to shapes, and XOR them.Ddraw a rectangle over the letter forms, and subtract. FWIW, Adobe considers .eps a legacy file format. ashf Posted July 23, 2019 Posted July 23, 2019 1. use PDF to bring it to Illustrator 2. don't use effects such as layer effects, live filters. Quote
Floriance Posted July 23, 2019 Author Posted July 23, 2019 Thanks for bits of advice. That logo was originally made as a text with Photoshop. Only small part something different than text. Easier would have been to create it right away with Affinity Designer. Quote
