swiggetts
When editing in either raw or jpeg the photo in the editing panel is much darker\under exposed than in the navigator panel. This even applies to photos, I have already processed and exported to as jpgs. I am editing photos based on what I see in the editing panel, when completed finished version is over exposed. Any idea what I have changed, using most up to date version of Affinity,
Mark Ingram
Hi @swiggetts, do you have a HDR capable monitor? You can see if you do, by opening the 32-Bit Preview panel, and seeing if you can click the "Enable HDR" checkbox. If so, I've just fixed an issue where 32-bit documents and RAW files in Develop persona will appear darker than expected (if you have a HDR monitor). This fix will be available in 1.7.2, or you can try the latest beta now: If you don't have a HDR capable monitor then there is something else going on... swiggetts
I advised by Lee D, I have changed in the develop persona assistant, raw output format from 32 bit to 16 bit. Unfortunately, the problem remains. I will download the latest beta Status as above. Susan
swiggetts
I have downloaded beta version and problem has been resolved. Thanks for your assistance. Susan
Staff Lee D Posted July 17, 2019 Staff Share Posted July 17, 2019 Glad its resolved for you using the beta. Did you redevelop the image after changing the output to 16 Bit and then check the Navigator panel? and does your laptop have an HDR display or know the model? Mark Ingram
Hi @swiggetts, it sounds like you have a HDR capable display which is great! Take a look at the 32-Bit Preview panel, and you should have the option to "Enable HDR" which will give you access to a brighter colours! Barbara_K
Hi, I have the exact same problem. Appeared suddenly yesterday and persisted after I updated Affinity Photo to the latest version. Now running 1.7.2.471. Doesn't matter if I set 32 or 16 Bit - it's still the same - way too dark in raw development, much lighter in navigator panel. After exporting, the image looks like it did in the navigator panel (it used to look like the one in editing panel. Any suggestions? It's really weird and started happening completely out of the blue... Edited August 17, 2019 by Barbara_K
Arceom
I have a similar issue, my raws open and display fine but if I rotate it, the image gets darker. However I can get it back to normal by pressing any of the sync options or checking lens correction off and back on. 2019-08-20 00-02-21.mp4
Meikeliza
I have the same Problem. In the development persone the file is so much darker. After developing it is lighter although without any Manipulation in the development persone. I´m so sad About that and it´s no fun to work with Affinity
