Have I got to convert all my Page plus files to PDF? Ouch!

I think the answer is going to be "yes" :|

There was a hint from a Serif staff member at one time that one reason for not providing import of PagePlus files yet was the number of PagePlus functions not available in Publisher. This allows for a future in which Publisher has implemented enough of the missing functions that it would be worthwhile for Serif to provide an importer for the PagePlus files.

It's clear, though, that allowing IDML import is a higher priority, and even that is likely to require implementation of additional Publisher functions first.

So if importation of PagePlus is ever supported, it is likely to be several years before we see it.

Note, though, that PagePlus still works. The common suggestion is to keep using it if you need to rework old designs, or if you need to do a new design that cannot be done in Publisher. And to switch to Publisher for new designs that it can handle.

Or, if you need to rework something that is currently in PagePlus, export only that file to PDF and transfer it across.

There's no doubt that PagePlus users want that function. There's also no way that Serif could have implemented everything that everyone wants and still have gotten the product released.

As it was, I think they delayed about 6 months beyond their original plans, and got some of the additional function the beta testers wanted into the product.

Remember the old joke?

Customer: "Do you sell x here?"

Shop assistant: "No,  you're the tenth customer today to ask. There's just no call for it."

My favourite variation is

Why don't you sell x?

No point, when we bring it in it sells out immediately.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.
