Chris26
As you see in the screen shot there is a 'MERGE' option top right. My logic assumed that this meant you could actually merge the curve into the image and the actual curve symbol/layer would naturally dissappear, somewhat like MERGE in photoshop, where the curve can remain either as a layer or merged into the image itself. The merge button appeared to do nothing. Quote Microsoft - Like entering your home and opening the stainless steel kitchen door, with a Popup: 'Do you really want to open this door'? PaulEC
Merge only works if the layer has been rasterized. Ah, good to know. - But then, should the button not be greyed out when assigned to a non-rasterized object? Thanks Paul, and Thmaso yes, that would be helpful. But I have another question, my images are always raster images from photoshop. So why does it need to be rasterized? Does this mean that all images imported are converted to vector, which I doubt, so logically I would assume that all images sit on top of some invisible layer that I knew nothing about, and rasterizing means merging the image into a raster image? Just guessing here. I have always seen the drop down menu where one can rasterize an image, I have for fun often clicked on it to see what would happen - well nothing happens as far as I can tell? Or am I wrong, if something does happen then that too should grey out, or at the least let you know what has happened. This is somewhat mysterious this particular function so any explanations would be extremely appreciated. Thanks.
