Eddy-2
Publisher Assets. I can add an object to the Assets Panel using the Add from Selection option but not by dragging the object into the panel. Is there a problem or am I the problem? However drag and drop would be nice! By the way, the topic title is intended to tell other users what the thread is about. Eddy-2
Thanks Alfred. As you'll have gathered, I'm new to both Designer and Publisher and haven't even made it to base camp as yet. I'm relying a lot on the Help files and the Publisher one does give drag and drop as a way to add an asset (as PagePlus does). Also, although not a problem as I'm now aware of it, if there's an entry in the Search field, adding an Asset Subcategory shows nothing in the Assets panel. Clearing the Help field does show that one's been added. Thanks also for the explanation on the Title field ('Subject' would have made more sense). jmwellborn

Drag & drop works on the Mac versions but apparently not on the Windows ones. Are you sure you were relying in the built-in help files & not the online versions? Eddy-2
Yes, I am using the built-in help files. To quote: To store an object as an asset: • Drag a selected object from the page to one of the subcategories in the Assets panel. No problem though, since the other method works. I've just checked the online video tutorial and 'Add from Selection' is the recommended way to do it.
