agcphoto Posted June 5, 2019 Posted June 5, 2019 When I first opened Photo 1.7, it would not allow me "Edit in Designer", or vice versa. I don't think it's a bug, but perhaps the program just needs some time to link everything together? This was the case on two computers, by the way.... I had a similar experience with Designer 1.7 not allowing me to "Edit in Photo". Things seem to be working in both directions now. Mac OS High Sierra Quote
Staff Gabe Posted June 6, 2019 Staff Posted June 6, 2019 Hi @agcphoto You must run the software once so that the option becomes available. If you've only updated and not run it, it might not have the "full" functionality. Thanks, Gabe. Quote
agcphoto Posted June 30, 2019 Author Posted June 30, 2019 I agree, thank you for the observation. Quote
Chul Posted August 15, 2019 Posted August 15, 2019 Since I downloaded the latest version of designer and photo the option to edit in designer/photo is grayed out. Am I missing an obvious? For right now, I'm right clicking on the unopened document & choosing to open with Designer as a work around. Thanks! Quote
Staff MEB Posted August 15, 2019 Staff Posted August 15, 2019 Hi Chul, Welcome to Affinity Forums Run both apps at least once so they can recognise each other. Let us know if you still have issues. Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
Staff MEB Posted August 15, 2019 Staff Posted August 15, 2019 Have you moved the applications to another place other than the root of the Applications folder? Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
Staff MEB Posted August 16, 2019 Staff Posted August 16, 2019 Hi Chul, I'm sorry for the inconvenience this is causing you. We have improved app detection/checks in the latest builds and this shouldn't be an issue from now on. The respective retail update should be out soon. Let us now if you still have issues after updating both apps. Thanks for your support/understanding. Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
Chul Posted August 16, 2019 Posted August 16, 2019 Sounds good! I will see if that fixes the problem once the updates are available. Thanks for your help, MEB! Quote
Chul Posted August 19, 2019 Posted August 19, 2019 Works fine now that I'm using 1.7.2! Thanks!! MEB 1 Quote
