Publisher crashes while importing Word documents

Recommended Posts

It doesn't crash on Windows, but it doesn't import well. I think it's because it's mostly tables. It gives me a Text Frame with the overflow indicator, but doing a shift+click on it doesn't properly reflow into new pages.

Have you tried this on the latest build?

I can't replicate any crashes, and the file seems to import fairly well for me (better on Windows due to the font substitutions).

I did notice an issue on Mac when examining the tables that are imported however, which I've logged.

We believe the issue found from this thread ("Crash when examining DocX file on Mac") has been fixed in the latest Affinity Publisher beta and should not occur in the initial release of Affinity Publisher next week.
