1.7.0.4 beta Move tool context menu icons

Recommended Posts

There are two new icon, unnamed but one adds movement controls to selection box. These controls disappear at smaller settings. (Attached video).

The second new icon does what? No details in Help file. Appears to extend/contract select box when multiple objects selected.

The Reset Rotation box icon brings up a description on screen when tapped ( great idea) but why not extend this to the other 5 icons?

The controls disappearing are by design. Because these Alignment handles rely on being grabbed, it becomes very difficult to grab hold of them when the transform box isn't particularly big, so instead they get hidden.

As v_kyr has mentioned (and your second video shows) that is to Transform Objects Separately. The issue is that there is no feedback really to the user on what these buttons do (as mentioned by Paul in this thread). This is something that been reported to development. Also the 'Reset Rotation Box' button has actually changed functionality a little bit and has been renamed 'Cycle Selection Box' - this is also why you get feedback on the screen. For example if I select a shape that is on an Isometric Plane and rotate it I can then cycle the selection box between Regular Bounds, Planar Bounds and Base Box.
