This results in an 'oversized' image larger than canvas (reported elsewhere), and used Move tool to resize to fit canvas. Did you notice that 1.6 pastes at Selection size but 1.7 seems to paste at some huge size. M1 IPad Air 10.9/256GB lpadOS 17.1.1 Apple Pencil (2nd gen). Nope—for me it pasted it at the size I copied it as when using the same canvas size.
