I don’t know how to clip masks in affinity photo or designer for iPad. Please help? Isn’t there a way to clip masks when coloring a design so the color won’t come out?

Callum’s video demonstrates the procedure very clearly, IMO. What aspect are you having difficulty with?

Just put the layer over the other and release when  blue line appears at the center of bottom line
