Never noticed this before, taking Transform Panel as example.

Yes, you can make use of calculations inside e.g. the Transform Panel like 20mm*3 = 60mm or 20mm+25 = 45mm, but you can't mix the units. Let's say 20mm-2pt. Sometimes this would be handy.

calculations in input-fields are always handy. But it would be also fine to be able to do this with mixed units.


  • Production-System: iMac (21,5-inch, Late 2013), 16GB RAM, 2TB nvme-SSD, running on 10.14.4 Mojave;
  • Display Setup: 27" Thunderbolt Display primary + 21,5" iMac-Display secondary for palettes;
  • Keyboard-Layout: German apple extended keyboard (aluminum);
