Setup Bug is BACK in 283

Recommended Posts

affinity-publisher-beta-1.7.0.283

I tried to update to the latest beta and received the dreaded "setup failed"message. It totally wiped out the program including the program folders which were not to be found

It took a reboot to be able for it to do a fresh install successfully. Logs attached for the 3 attempts

Interesting. I opened publisher and the download was for 283. I just now went to the store and the 4/5 download is for 283

This is all happening this morning. Where are you finding 292?

Thanks

In the usual spot, at the top of this forum in a pinned post.

It usually takes them awhile to put a new version on auto-update. (They also discovered a crash in .292 after they released, and were suggesting that people might want to wait for the next one, so I doubt that .292 will go on auto-update.)

(But if I remember correctly you have a similar topic about .292, so I will presume that you found it :) )

Hi both,

All 3 times the installer failed because of insufficient permissions:

+Error: The installer has insufficient privileges to access this directory: C:\Program Files\Affinity\Publisher Public Beta.  The installation cannot continue.  Log on as administrator or contact your system administrator.

Thanks,

Gabe.
