I also encounter problems with this version. After installation, Affinity Publisher starts, but is not responding, and even after some time, the only way to close it is to kill it (win 10x64 1809). Rolling back to the 249, which runs fine.

Thanks for your post, sorry to hear you're having trouble getting the latest build working.  Could you please provide me with a copy of you AppData folder, to access this please follow the steps below.

1. Hold the Windows key + R

2. Type %appdata%

3. Navigate to Affinity>Publisher

4. Make a copy of the 1.0 (beta) folder, zip it up and attach it here.

There are some problems if Microsoft .NET framework is not up-to-date.
.NET 4.7.2 is required as a minimum.

To check what version you have there is a program linked to here made by Asoft

You can download the most current version of .NET 4.7.2 here:
https://dotnet.microsoft.com/download/dotnet-framework-runtime/net472

Install that and then see if Affinity Publisher 1.7.0.257 starts and runs.
