Sapiento Posted February 20, 2019 Posted February 20, 2019 I'm using line patterns a lot. When I create a fill layer (Layer > New Fill Layer > then Type: Bitmap) and choose a line pattern, then it is possible to align it to axis while holding SHIFT, but I cannot find an option to choose a certain angle, for example 25°. Is this possible? And is it possible to change the size of the pattern other than pulling the handles? Quote www.fantasy-map.net - Where visions become fantasy maps!
Staff MEB Posted February 20, 2019 Staff Posted February 20, 2019 Hi Sapiento, Welcome to Affinity Forums 1) No, the axis constraint is limited to 45º. There's no way to set a custom value. 2) Also no, sorry. The canvas handles are the only what to change the size of the pattern. Thread moved to Feature Requests section. carl123 Posted February 20, 2019 Posted February 20, 2019 1. The Info Panel has an Angle display which is not the easiest thing to work with but it can show you the Angle once you figure out how it works. You can also set up a custom grid with any angle you want and snap to that angle. (Probably the easiest option) 2. You can only change the size of the pattern by dragging the handles but you can drag by precise amounts by either using the information in the Info Panel or snapping to a grid, set up with the divisions you want.
