  1. The text for export, especially .psd, should be fully editable, no matter if the text is curved, stretched or rotated. Maybe even if a FX is applied, but I guess that's a minor point. The lack of this feature is a major drawback IMO. Many of my clients need to edit the text themselves and most use PS. I know a lot of artists who need this feature.
  2. At least a good export in a vector format would work. For transformed and curved text.
  3. Yes, that's it. Each letter on it's own layer.
  4. Is any of the export formats keeping the text editable? .psd export rasterizes the text, so that is useless. Any other option?
  5. I can do away the FX, that's not the problem, but the curved text is really an issue.
  6. Thank you. The result is only slightly better. The curved text is now one layer per letter - that makes hundreds of layers (letters) instead of some dozen words. For practical use for commissions this is completely useless. This is a major drawback of AP.
  7. Yes. Outer Glow effect, text on path (edited in Designer) and rotated text.
  8. I just used 'PDF (for export)' in AP, but I cannot edit the text in Photoshop or Illustrator. It gets rasterized.

A pirate isle and the surrounding coast. Traditionally drawn with 0.1 and 0.3 liner pens, scanned and coloured and labelled digitally with AP.
  11. Currently the Paint Brush Tool has no function assigned for Right Click. I think it would make sense to add a 'Right Click' command to open up a small bar that shows the (8, 10, 12?, maybe customizable) recently used brushes. That would speed up the drawing process. Another way to use it would be to open a UI for changing the brush width and hardness.
  12. I have the latest version of Affinity Photo and a Wacom Intuos 3 Wide, Windows 10. I tried to draw in a A1 sized document but when I move the pen over the tablet there is a noticeable timelag of the brush cursor and also no fluent movement, the cursor jumps. It goes away as soon as I start drawing, but is very difficult to meet the point where I want to start with the drawing. No problem with A2 or smaller documents. Also no problem with smaller documents that are open at the same time in another window. Closing a A1 document and creating a new one duplicates the issue. Also no problem when I use the mouse in a A1 document. The problem begins when I add a new pixel layer.
  13. The probem is gone! What was the reason for it?
  14. Beta works fine, no problem with the pen. I hope the new version is released soon.

    Vartiter. A commissioned map.
  16. I tried again to create images brushes with AP, but the default size of 64 pixels for new brushes is turning this into a very annoying experience. If I draw a 24 x 50 pixels or 200 x 150 pixels large object for export as brush, then it should stay this size and not blown up or shrink. Apart from the size issue the new brush becomes blurry when it is increased to the current default size. The fact that I can change the brush size afterwards is no help. The current solution is good for simple shapes but not for the creation of more sophisticated brushes. At least it would help if the user could choose between a fixed brush size or the original size. This may not be a problem for most users but for artists who need a lot of brushes for their work it is a serious matter.
  17. When exporting a file to .psd format, the text is turned into pixels and - of course - no longer editable. Can this be changed somewhere? I know it is possible to choose between text or pixel for imported .psd but for exports I couldn't not find such an option.

Thank you! It was a commissioned piece. Red lines are city boundaries. The brown is a deep trench. No need for rivers and lakes in the legend. Roads are exaggerated as well as the city wall.

  20. Ok, than it may be a bug or at least it needs some adjusting.
  21. I use a Wacom Intuos 3 for drawing. I notice quite a difference when I try to drag an object with the mouse or with the pen. With the mouse the cursor stays 'normal' on a much greater part of the object before it turns into the black double arrow for transforming the object. When I use the pen at the same zoom this area is much smaller or non existent - I cannot drag the object, only transform. So I have to zoom in much closer to be able to drag the object. See attached images . There's a 57 x 57 pixel Diamond shape at 50% zoom. Mouse can drag, pen is not able to drag as the cursor does not appear. I'm not sure if this a Wacom issue or an AP problem or if this is a bug or not, therefore a suggestion.
  22. I'm using line patterns a lot. When I create a fill layer (Layer > New Fill Layer > then Type: Bitmap) and choose a line pattern, then it is possible to align it to axis while holding SHIFT, but I cannot find an option to choose a certain angle, for example 25°. Is this possible? And is it possible to change the size of the pattern other than pulling the handles?
  23. I'm not sure if it is a bug, but it is at least a strange behaviour of the brush strokes. See attached images: the brush thickness of 1 pixel and 2 pixels seems to be the same, as well as 3 px and 4 px. (Brush settings are attached, too). I'm using a Wacom tablet to draw.
