Mandu
Hello good people. Evaluation of APublisher would be on a completely new level if those two personas become avilable. I'm curious where is the holdup? Please don't tell me they will become available when the Publisher releases.
walt.farrell
Serif have said they will be enabled in Publisher when the released (non-beta) 1.7 versions of Photo and Design are installed. Unfortunately, they have not said (and will not say) when we may expect Photo and Designer 1.7 to finish beta testing. -- Walt Designer, Photo, and Publisher V1 and V2 at latest retail and beta releases PC: Desktop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 64GB memory, AMD Ryzen 9 5900 12-Core @ 3.00 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Laptop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 32GB memory, Intel Core i7-10750H @ 2.60GHz, Intel UHD Graphics Comet Lake GT2 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop GPU. Mandu
Thank you for replying. That's kind of sad... Also, I posted this topic in the wrong forum. It should have been discussion forum, not bug report.
walt.farrell
It's a bit sad, but the functions and file formats are changing often enough during this combined beta process that having the personas active now would probably mean that a new beta of Publisher (or Photo, or Designer) could not be released without simultaneously releasing new betas of the other two applications. That would be hard to manage for Serif, and for us. -- Walt Designer, Photo, and Publisher V1 and V2 at latest retail and beta releases PC: Desktop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 64GB memory, AMD Ryzen 9 5900 12-Core @ 3.00 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Laptop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 32GB memory, Intel Core i7-10750H @ 2.60GHz, Intel UHD Graphics Comet Lake GT2 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop GPU. PMan
Just downloaded the latest Customer Betas of Designer and Photo (betas 1.0.7.243) and Personas is now available, either from Personas at the top of the File Menu, or Edit in Designer or Edit in Photo. The Personas icons don't yet work and simply generate an error message instead I've yet to work out what I can do with them. Well done Serif for your continued hard work and I look forward to examples of use from other users Pman Windows 10, Affinity Publisher Beta 1.0.7.238, Affinity Designer Customer Beta 1.0.7.243, Affinity Photo Customer Beta 1.0.7.
