TEcHNOpls Posted December 16, 2018 Posted December 16, 2018 Hi, while clarity has been improved, it still needs some streamlining. Clarity in DOF live filter is in PX while on it's own its in percent. This looks messy and makes transfering settings unreliable. ie. setting clarity in DOF I decide to move it to another layer (to make it 'global') and I can't get the same results. Staff Chris B Posted December 17, 2018 Staff Posted December 17, 2018 Have you reported this before? I never realised but I can't see any good reason why they are different... I'll pass this to the developers. Cheers TEcHNOpls 1 How to format a bug report | Learning Resources | List of V2 FAQs | YouTube Tutorials
TEcHNOpls Posted December 17, 2018 Author Posted December 17, 2018 Not sure, I couldn't really use the beta (1.7.x) earlier, so I went through the list of changes now and noticed this issue. Chris B 1 "I'm a lumberjack and I'm OK, I sleep all night, and I work all day..."
Staff Chris B Posted December 19, 2018 Staff Posted December 19, 2018 Development said that for now, this is by design. This is because it is using the old Clarity mode and many users might not expect new behaviour and I'm not sure how this might affect existing documents. Hopefully they will address it in the future. TEcHNOpls Posted December 19, 2018 Author Posted December 19, 2018 Ok. Thou it's probably the best right now since the file format change. Also, the px approach is the new, yes? "I'm a lumberjack and I'm OK, I sleep all night, and I work all day..."
Staff Chris B Posted December 19, 2018 Staff Posted December 19, 2018 The % is the new approach as the Clarity filter on its own has adopted this. However we didn't change it for Depth of Field yet because the results were too drastic for miniature blurs and this is why it has been kept as px. TEcHNOpls Posted December 19, 2018 Author Posted December 19, 2018 Ok, hopefully it'll be streamlined before 2.x (maybe 1.8 branch). Thanks for the info. "I'm a lumberjack and I'm OK, I sleep all night, and I work all day..."
