walt.farrell
Method of recreation: Close and re-open Publisher. Open the toot2.afpub file attached below. In the Find and Replace panel, put "toot" (without quotes) in the Find field, and "tweet" in the Replace with field. Click Find, then click Replace All. At that point, for me, Publisher is hung and will not respond to mouse clicks anywhere in the UI. According to Windows Task Manager it is using very little CPU. It can only be terminated by using End Task in the Windows Task Manager. toot2.afpub -- Walt Designer, Photo, and Publisher V1 and V2 at latest retail and beta releases PC: Desktop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 64GB memory, AMD Ryzen 9 5900 12-Core @ 3.00 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Laptop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 32GB memory, Intel Core i7-10750H @ 2.60GHz, Intel UHD Graphics Comet Lake GT2 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop GPU. Update: on my first try I typed in 'toot' and this didn't find anything. On my second try after your reply I copied 'toot' from the text in the document and I can reproduce the hang. In task-manager I see two entries under 'Affinity Publisher Beta': 'Affinity Publisher Beta' and 'crashpad_handler.exe'. I was able to 'kill' the two from task-manager. The only question that remains is, what makes you type in 'toot' and try to replace it with 'tweet' d. Affinity Suite on Windows (V2) and iPad (V2). Beta testing when available.
