Box appearing on Printed image

Recommended Posts

These 2 bars of soap are seperate images, not grouped, and they are at the top most layer, above everything else.  I have not been able to find out why this shaded box appears around the 2 bars of soap when printed.  I have only selected them with the shift key to demonstrate this.  First screen shot is the software, second screen shot is the print out, very quickly photographed under tungsten light, otherwise the print itself is of excellent quality..

Microsoft - Like entering your home and opening the stainless steel kitchen door, with a Popup: 'Do you really want to open this door'? Then looking for the dishwasher and finding it stored in the living room where you have to download a water supply from the app store, then you have to buy microsoft compliant soap, remove the carpet only to be told that it is glued to the floor.. Don't forget to make multiple copies of your front door key and post them to all who demand access to all the doors inside your home including the windows and outside shed.

Apple - Like entering your home and opening the oak framed Kitchen door and finding the dishwasher right in front you ready to be switched on, soap supplied, and water that comes through a water softener.  Ah the front door key is yours and it only needs to open the front door.

Short answer based on your description; This should not be happening.

Longer reply; How is the shadow from the bars formed, what kind and size of files are the bars. Are the bars placed or in borderless frames. We would probably need to see the layers pallet or the file to be of further help.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

Gentlemen, I solved the problem but I have no idea how, I wish I had kept the original and simply copied the file now.  Unfortunately I did not, sorry.  I simply made some precise measurements in photoshop so that 20cm length would be exactly 300 PPi and re-imported.  Had no problems after that.  Though I do not believe this was an issue.

So to give as much info as possible from memory:

The Shadows were created with affinity's layer effects. The files were each about 2 Mb no more, at 300 PPi, Resource manage places them in at 280 PPi each, saved as Jpegs at maximum quality.  The two soap bars were placed directly from my image folder without going through place image or creating a picture frame.  I then simply clicked on the page to place them, I did NOT drag the handle and then let go of the mouse.  So it's a click on the image name in my folder and then click on the page and move into position and then re-size upwards very slighly, as you can see from the 300 to 281 PPI in resource manager.  And here is the layers panel.

Sorry. I forgot the most important extra, the background image that covers the whole card had a gradient applied to it via the transparency tool, the grey around the two soap bars actually allowed through (like a window) a part of the background image as if no transparency were applied.
