JJS
Hi Folks, what is the best way to simulate color blindness in AP (no difference seen in red-green, or blue-yellow are the most prominent problems people suffer from) ? I assume it is a question of using adjustment layers the right way, but I do not know where to start. Simply turning down eg. red & green in the channel mixer doesn´t do the trick. I assume the red and greens need to be mapped to a grey, but how do I do this? Many thanks and regards, Jörg

Staff Gabe Posted October 16, 2018 Staff Share Posted October 16, 2018 Hi @JJS, Welcome to the forums. You can use the Channel Mixer, with 50% red and 50% green for both Red and Green channels. That should be close to what you want to achieve. Thanks, Gabe.

Thanks, Gabe. 50% red and 50% green is very different from Photoshop's color blind simulation. Would be nice if you cloud provide more precise data. firstdefence
It would be easier to use LUTS: Color_Blind_Color_Lookup_Tables_3DLUT_LUT_CUBE_HALD.zip Unzip the LUTs, to test, open an image, use the LUT... adjustment filter and load one of the cube files. You could have a LUT… adjustment filter for each type of colour blindness, you can then turn them off or on to suit and place images below to test. ashf 1 Quote iMac 27" 2019 Sequoia 15.0 (24A335), iMac 27" Affinity Designer, Photo & Publisher V1 & V2, Adobe, Inkscape, Vectorstyler, Blender, C4D, Sketchup + more...
