Átila
The beta for Mac downloaded and installed fine. Powerful and straightforward capacities. The overall sensation is of simplicity with great usability, and the task of creating a TOC is amazingly easy.Thank you and congratulations for that, all the team. Now a few wishes: Ability to import legacy InDesign files On "Insert text from file..." it seems to work only with .RTF. It should import other obvious file formats, such as Word. Main shortcomings of depending on .RTF: tables not honoured, and complete loss of footnotes, both text and references. For serious editing we cannot lose that. On "Edit text style" dialog: hyphenation in Portuguese (PT, orthographic agreement) is missing. On "Edit text style > Decorations" dialog, the indent menus are reading "Decent" instead of "Descent" Congrats, once more! Jobalou
Yes, I agree with Átila: Where is the the Portuguese - Portugal language please? One important feature that is missing is "Forced Line Break" ! Auto-hyphenation seems not working, at least for the portuguese (brasil). Thank you very much for the Beta. Its nice. walt.farrell
It works as a forced line break for me. I guess I must not understand what you're looking for. I inserted done in the middle of text in a text frame, and it was maintained no matter how I made the text reflow. Vaaish
@Jobalou The terminology affinity is using seems to be different but the effect is the same as the forced line break you're looking for. Maybe the menu option could get updated to clarify it's a forced line break? Jobalou
Jobalou
Ok. The terminology affinity is using seems to be different. I was used to making SHIFT + RETURN that several applications use. If it's a universal shortcut I do not know ... in Affinity, this shortcut does not work after all :-/ Thank you all for the info
