NadoCat Posted June 8, 2018 Posted June 8, 2018 How does one create a long shadow effect in Affinity Designer? There doesn't seem to be a blend feature. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tp_T5t8rJ8g Quote
Dan C Posted June 9, 2018 Posted June 9, 2018 Hi NadoCat! You can recreate a similar effect in Affinity Designer. Use Power Duplicate to create the multiple objects needed for the shadow. Simply select the initial curve and use the keyboard shortcut 'Cmd + J'. Select the newly created object and navigate to the transform panel. Here you can move the object by 5 pixels on either axis. Now you can hold down 'Cmd +J' until you have enough copies to reach the edge of your document. Now select all the objects in the layers panel and change the blend mode and opacity to suit Power Duplicate.mp4 Quote

Domvel Posted February 19, 2020 Posted February 19, 2020 This would be nice. Affinity Designer should have this feature to create a flat long shadow shape or effect to drop this shadow. Quote
