export files to flash drive from iPad

Recommended Posts

I want to export files to a flash drive on my iPad.  There are several flash drives that have both lightning and usb plugs but I don't know if Affinity will recognize any of them.  If I can't export directly is there a roundabout way, exporting to another application and then to the flash drive.  I need to export jpg but would also like to export psd or raw.  I'm looking for brand names of flash drives that work with Affinity.

I use the Leef brand.... my experience to this point is that you can directly open a file from this flash drive right into affinity photo but you must save the file first to the iPad and then to the drive... I hope this will change in the the future to allow you to save directly to the flash drive because you get a lot of extra files floating around

ReO2,

Thanks for the quick response.  How do you save to the iPad?  I understand that Affinity doesn't allow you to save a jpg to Photo, so where do you put the file?

Saving a jpg to photo is simple if you can open photo app next to AP. Go to export screen, tap and hold jpeg then drag and drop into Camera roll. Works for me.

Selecting Save Image under the share button goes direct to photos, it may not be visible at first but you can reorder your share options by selecting the three dots ...
