Mohring
I want to use third party template packages (designed for Photoshop) with Affinity. Is this possible? As an example, https://www.photobacks.com/product-category/packages/. If this won't work, does Affinity Photo plan to create an ability to make products that would compete with these or would it be better to just use Photoshop? (I am trying to avoid Adobe's subscription based model if possible). Willy Pimentel
Pebowski
As I have seen these packages are PSD files, and AP can open PSD. So it should be no problem. But you only know 100% if you have an example and open it. Regards, Peter
v_kyr
The PS template PSD files might probably work here in the one or other way, as the previous poster said you have to try and see. But the supplied PS actions (.atn files) will definitely not and you would have to build your own AP macros which resemble these. Staff MEB Posted January 8, 2018 Staff Share Posted January 8, 2018 Hi Mohring, Welcome to Affinity Forums It's not uncommon to see Photoshop smart objects being used on these types of templates. Currently Affinity isn't able to edit/work with them. They will be rasterised on import.
